This is a very Rare hard to find Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin with the V8 and AWD. And its Black, on Black loaded with everything from GPS, Sync, sun roof, back up cam, and Leather. If you know these truck then you know how rare this one is. I was looking for one 2 years ago and found this at a near by dealer in Mass. It was the owners wife's personal SUV. It is a certified Ford and got a warranty to 100,000 miles (but i don't think that transfers). But its in perfect shape.
They had a hard cab on the back and also gave me the flat hard cover that I have had on the last year and half. I drove this every day for the last year and half. I'm a sales rep and I just picked up a new job with a company car so I won't be using this anymore. It has been great, I don't want to part with it, but its just going to sit since i have this new Daily Driver. I have a whole extra set of wheels I had powder coated Black and I have blizzak tires on that set. The tires on it are brand new I just put them on 5,000 miles ago and the winter I used the other set. This thing is a bear in the snow with the AWD, you can lock it right on the dash and it will go anywhere. The truck always gets looks and questions, because you just never see them. Such a pleasure to drive and you still have a nice bed for snowboards or bikes or what ever you want. It is in Excellent condition with only 70,000 miles (69,276 today) and KBB says its a $22,656-$23,887 trade in and Private Party is $26,350. I'm putting buy it now at $25,500 and that will come with the extra set of winter Tires and the extra cab for the bed. Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Shelby Cobra, Mercedes 300SL and 1947 Woodie from Petersen Museum headed to auction
Mon, 29 Jul 2013The changes happening at the Petersen Museum have been making the rounds in major press, but it probably won't be until August 18, during Pebble Beach, when we get the full story on what's happening; that's where and when museum reps plan on announcing the way forward for the SoCal institution. In the meantime, the museum is still reorganizing its collection, and that means auctioning some of its showpieces at this weekend's Auctions America event in Burbank.
Three of the stars are a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289, one of less than 20 produced with a three-speed C-4 automatic transmission, a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL owned by actor Robert Stack and the last 1948 Ford Sportsman 'Woodie' ever produced. The Cobra, now restored to its original white exterior and red leather interior, was a factory demonstrator that first sold for $5,250. Showing just 38,950 miles on the odometer, its pre-sale estimate is $800,000 to $1 million.
The 300SL is actually a 1957 model but wasn't titled until Robert Stack took possession in 1960. The lead actor in the The Untouchables TV series used to drive by the Sunset Boulevard Mercedes dealership to ogle the car, but couldn't justify spending the money to buy it. When he and the producer of The Untouchables won Emmys for the show, the producer, who happened to be Desi Arnaz, bought the car for Stack. He owned it his whole life, it has been left as Stack drove it and still bears the California license plate "UNTCHBL."

There was a time not so long ago when opting for a base Ford Mustang meant getting little more than some sheetmetal, an anemic four-cylinder engine and what may very well have been the world's most disappointing automatic transmission. During the Fox Body years, Ford seemed hell-bent on living up to Carroll Shelby's derogatory description of the coupe as little more than a runabout for demure office assistants, and the result was a base model with fewer sporting intentions than a Dilbert day calendar.
Some 20 years later, hopping behind the wheel of an entry-level pony is an entirely different experience. With all of the menacing aesthetics of the brawnier GT, a well-equipped interior and a drivetrain that toes the line between efficiency and power better than few before it, the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 is an attractive option for buyers in the big coupe market. But is it attractive enough to forgo the beastly GT?
