This Excursion has been maintained with no expense spared. I have owned this truck since 50k miles and intended on keeping it but just don't use it anymore. It has many add ons all with durability and longevity in mind. We used it to pull a travel trailer 4-5 times a year and it worked great! But we ended upgrading to a fifth wheel camper and the use of the truck stopped for the most part. The last 2 years it hasn't had 1000 miles on it. It needs a new home. The truck has add leafs on the front to rase it up about 2" and Firestone ride rite bags on the rear to level it up and improve the ride without a harsh ride or being too tall. I also had the transmission rebuilt by BTS (Brians truck shop) for a bullet proof transmission and it has been great. I put a stainless steel Magana Flow 4" turbo back exhaust and a AFE air box on it. When the alternator went out I replaced it with a 200 amp Nations alternator because the 135 that comes on these is marginal at best. It has new batterise as of this week the old ones were only 18 months old but it has sat and they were weak so I got them replaced. One of the tires is slightly older than the others I had one dry root last summer and when I started thinking about selling I replaced the rest of them 2 weeks ago. It does have guages for boost piro temp and trans temp and a DP ship with programs stock, 65 tow, 80 econo, 120 performance, drive thru (makes it really quite for ordering in drive thrus) and Hi-idle for warmup or summer idling A\C. Evens coolant that never needs changed! Coolant filter. And a few more.

2015 Ford Edge debuts with fresh tech inside and out
Tue, 24 Jun 2014
Edge will be the first Ford-badged product to come standard with EcoBoost power.
Ford officially unveiled the all-new, third-generation Edge today at its Dearborn home, announcing that the latest version of the popular crossover will ride on the same CD4 architecture that underpins the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ. The Edge will also be the first Ford-badged product to come standard with EcoBoost power.
Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
Ford, Samsung shack up to bring regen braking to non-hybrid models [w/video]
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Ford must be desperate to get itself ready for the beach this summer because it is really trying to get into shape. Shortly after unveiling the Lightweight Concept that cut the weight of a Fusion down to that of a Fiesta, it's now the rest of the line's turn for improvement. The company is wrapping up a 10-year research project aimed at developing next-gen automotive batteries to improve efficiency.
Ford claims that 70 percent of its lineup will have stop/start tech by 2017. The key to this massive proliferation is its new dual-battery system that combines a lithium-ion battery with a lead-acid one and regenerative braking. The setup works by harvesting braking energy and converting it to electricity. When the vehicle stops, the engine shuts off, but the Li-ion battery has enough juice to keep the accessories running. The engine starts up again as drivers take their foot off the brake. The layout would mean less wasted gas while idling. It's already available on Ford hybrids and is somewhat similar to the i-Eloop capacitor-based system from Mazda.
The bigger challenge is tuning the regenerative braking right. While hybrid drivers may be a little more adventurous, when it comes to getting a hang of regen braking, conventional buyers might not be so open-minded. The systems have a tendency to be a little grabby at first and then taper off at very low speeds. Ford needs to make sure it's just right to avoid turning off buyers.
