ALWAYS BEEN A FAMILY VEHICLE!!

UP FOR AUCTION TODAY IS MY 2002 FORD EXCURSION 4X4 WITH THE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER 7.3 LITER POWERSTROKE DIESEL! I HAVE OWNED IT FOR THE PAST 8  YEARS. I BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHICH WAS THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP OWNERS WIFE BACK IN JAN. 2006. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE HUSKY LINER FLOOR MATS WHICH WERE PLACED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE VEHICLE. THEY ARE STILL IN IT TODAY. WITHIN A FEW MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING IT, WE HAD A BANKS SYSTEM PUT IN FROM GAIL BANKS ENGINEERING OUT OF ASUZA, CA.  WE ACTUALLY HAD IT INSTALLED IN CA. AT BANKS. THE WHOLE INSTALL TOOK ABOUT 3 DAYS. WE PUT THE MOST INTO IT YOU COULD PUT AT THE TIME AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER! THE UPGRADES INCLUDE THE POWERPACK W/ STINGER STACKED WITH THE BIG HOSS BUNDLE WHICH BASICALLY UPGRADED THE EXHAUST, INTERCOOLER, TURBO, AIR FILTER SYSTEM (K&N) AND THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. GOING TO CALIFORNIA, WE WERE AVERAGING 17 MPG AND COMING BACK HOME WE WERE GETTING 19 MPG!! THAT'S DRIVING NORMAL. THIS THING HAS PLENTY OF POWER IF NEEDED. ALSO, WE HAD THE BANKS TRANSCOMMAND INSTALLED TO RAISE THE LINE PRESSURE TO THE TORQUE CONVERTOR WITH THE EXTRA HORSEPOWER. WE NEVER PULLED ANYTHING WITH IT OTHER THAN A LITTLE UTILITY TRAILER WITH A 4-WHEELER. IT WAS MOSTLY USED AROUND TOWN BY MY WIFE AND FOR THE LONG TRIPS TO DISNEY AND CALIFORNIA. MAINTENANCE WISE, I HAVE ALWAYS USED ROYAL PURPLE IN THE ENGINE. THE TIRES STILL HAVE GOOD THREADS ON THEM. THE FIRST BREAK DOWN PARTS FINALLY HAPPENED TO US THIS YEAR. BACK IN MAY OF LAST YEAR, WE HAD THE HPOP CHANGED. THIS IS THE HIGH PRESSURE OIL PUMP. WE INSTALLED AN ADRENALINE PUMP WHICH HAS A 2 YEAR 24,000 MILE WARRANTY WHICH IS TRANSFERRABLE TO THE NEXT PERSON, I ALREADY CALLED  THEM UP. THIS PUMP GAVE IT A BETTER RUN FROM TAKE OFF. ALSO, A NEW ALTERNATOR AND SERPENTINE BELT WAS PUT ON RECENTLY.  **THIS WAS A SOUTHERN TRUCK IT'S WHOLE LIFE** NO RUST WHATSOEVER!! I TRIED TO COVER MOSTLY EVERYTHING I COULD HERE AND THE UPPER DESCRIPTIONS. I AM AN HONEST PERSON AND WILL NOT LIE ABOUT THE CONDITION OR TRY TO COVER IT UP WITH SOME QUICK PAINT OR ARMOR ALL. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET. THE VEHICLE WAS USED BY MY FAMILY OF SIX WITH NO ISSUES. IT HAS BEEN GREAT TO US, BUT IT IS TIME TO LET IT GO TO SOMEONE ELSE WHO CAN PUT ANOTHER COUPLE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILES ON IT. I WILL TRY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT COME UP IN A TIMELY MANNER.  I HAVE BOTH SETS OF KEYS AND REMOTES. ONE WAS NEVER USED. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK!!

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY AS IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY.

Ford Fiesta ST orders off to strong start

Fri, 17 May 2013

We at Autoblog love the new little Ford Fiesta ST, and apparently, folks in Europe are pretty impressed with it, as well. According to Ford, the automaker's European arm has already logged 3,000 orders for the new hot hatch since it hit dealerships this March. The US-spec car, which will only be available as a five-door, will go on sale in the United States this summer.
What's perhaps most interesting about the Fiesta ST ordering is that the majority of customers appear to be ordering high-spec cars. According to Ford data, 60 percent of customers have opted for the leather interior with Recaro buckets, and 90 percent have selected the upgraded 17-inch wheels (seen on our test car, above). Spirit Blue has been the most popular color, commanding 27 percent of all orders. As for the technology upgrades, 19 percent of customers have ponied up for the Sony stereo with navigation.
To recap, the Fiesta ST is offered with Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, putting out 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. We had an absolute blast flinging the hot Fiesta through the French Alps, and we can't wait for this sharp little hatch to make its way over to the States.

Ford rolls out diesel Focus ST at Goodwood [w/poll]

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

If you're in the market for a hot hatch, there are some excellent choices at your disposal - especially if you live in Europe. But if you want a diesel, well, your choices become rather more limited. Volkswagen tends to that niche market with the Golf GTD (essentially an oil-burning version of the GTI available Stateside), but that's about the extent of it. The pleas of those looking for more diesel-burning hot hatch choices haven't fallen on deaf ears at Ford, with the Blue Oval not only rolling out a facelifted gas-powered Focus ST at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, but also a new diesel version as well.
The diesel Focus ST (which we hope and pray isn't marketed as the STD) packs a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four producing 182 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque to propel the oil-burning hot hatch to 62 in 8.1 seconds en route to a top speed of 135 miles per hour. With less power and only slightly more torque, that makes the diesel Focus ST considerably slower than the gasoline one, which packs 252 hp and 270 lb-ft, runs to 62 in 6.5 seconds and tops out at 154 mph, but (in a testament to how far particulate filters have come) the diesel model cuts carbon emissions by nearly a third compared to the petrol version and returns about 50-percent better fuel economy, which makes that much more of a difference in markets where diesel is already priced better than gasoline at the pump.
For buyers who wouldn't consider anything other than a diesel, it also represents 23-percent more power than the previous top-level diesel Focus. The VW Golf GTD, for reference, offers up 181 hp (just 1 horse less), 280 lb-ft (15 fewer torques) but is somehow estimated to reach 60 in a considerably fleeter 7.4 seconds.

2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty Power Stroke

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

What weighs 30,000 pounds? Big Ben's Westminster bell. A navy ship anchor. Or as we found out during our first drive program for the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty, seven pallets of cinder blocks loaded onto a dual-axle gooseneck trailer. The test was part of a raft of towing demonstrations that showcased the new Super Duty's impressive tug capacity, which maxes out at 32,100 pounds. That's 1,200 more than its nearest rival, the Ram 3500, when equipped with its upgraded 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8. Such is the heavy-duty pickup truck business, a diesel-fueled game of one-upmanship with only three players: Ford, Chevrolet/GMC and Ram. And in this game, the one with the most torque wins.
Until 2014, Ford was the one to beat, with its 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel bringing 400 hp and a massive 800 lb-ft of torque to the table. Then last year, Ram did exactly that, serving Ford with a beefed-up Cummins turbodiesel inline-six in its freshened Ram Heavy Duty truck line with 385 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to tow up to 30,000 pounds. But Ford claims it had designed its engine to be relatively easy to upgrade when the time called for it, so for 2015, Ford bolted a larger turbo to the Power Stroke, bringing output to an insane 440 hp and 860 lb-ft of twist, all without reducing fuel efficiency. Maximum tow capacity rises from 24,700 lbs to an incredible 31,200 lbs for the F-450 dually.
As for GM's HDs? They lag behind the lot with their 6.6-liter Duramax V-8, producing 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, you know things are serious when the trucks with 765 lb-ft are the knock-kneed wimps of the lot.
