Truck has a 7.3 diesel engine.  Enough said!
This engine is more famous than ever and any Ford truck enthusiastic will drive in circles to put his hands on this truck. The 7.3 is simply the strongest and most reliable engine ever built on Ford trucks! Truck runs like a dream - motor sounds healthy, transmission shifts very smooth, no leaks, no smoke, super clean and well maintained.

WHAT WE DID
We got the truck at the auction from the insurance company. It has a Salvage rebuildable title due to front collision. This is what we did: Converted from a 2WD to a 4x4 (replaced front axle, transmission, transfer case and drive shaft). Since we took he pictures we replaced he automatic transfer case to a manual transfer case. Truck was completely cleaned up. Exterior painted a year ago.
2013 conversion hood and fenders purchased from the Ford dealer. Grille, headlights, running boards, mirrors, bumpers and fender wheel lip moulding are Ford OEM takeoff quality. We also installed Pioneer Navigation/DVD player/Bluetooth system.
Inside is in great condition and mostly all original. A new front carpet was purchased from Ford. Outside truck looks very sharp.

15k miles ago, engine was completely rebuilt with new seals (headgasket, crank seals, water pump) and new injectors. Transmission was rebuilt. Dual tail pipe from a 2010 F350. 20" XD Rock Start wheels. Tires in good condition. New break pads.

We started this project 2 years ago, originally for us to keep. Back then the 2013 trucks were so new there was no aftermarket parts available to purchase and the junk yards didn't even have them available for sale.
So here's the list of parts we replaced on the truck and what much it costed.
This truck in not, by any means, the kind of truck you will go check the value at the Blue Book.
With all these adaptions and conversions, his is a custom truck - one of a kind!

$3000.00 Rockstar wheels and new tires
$800.00 Ford OEM take offs running boards
$900.00 Ford OEM take offs front and rear bumpers with harness and fog lights
$1200.00 Ford OEM Grille bought used on ebay
$400.00 Ford OEM Headlights bought on ebay (said were new never used)
$1500.00 Ford NEW Fenders and Hood from dealer
$400.00 new carpet from Ford
$500.00 aftermarket mirrors
$230.00 Ford NEW Cawl Mouldings
$800.00 Ford NEW Radiator support and Fenders support
$700.00 Ford take offs fender flares
$1000.00 New Pioneer DVD installed (it can play dvd while you are driving - awesome when drive with kids)
$175.00 used Ford OEM Exhaus End Pipe ou of 2010 truck + installation
$1200.00 front 4x4 axle with 3.73 ratio
$2000.00 rebuilt transmission and transfer case
+ the lift kit
+ parts installation and paint
+ engine rebuilt

I'm scared to add the numbers. There are many things I forgot to list. Just wanted to show how much I spent. It took one year to get the truck done as it was our personal project vehicle.
We have been driving the truck for the last year, mainly on weekends with the family. It's an awesome truck to have, kids love the DVD player and the extra room on the truck. Everyone rides comfortable and happy.
So there you have it. Plain and simple, nothing shady. Let me know if you have any questions.

e chose not to inspect the truck in Florida just yet because we know that there are some states that will issue a clean title after truck goes for inspection. And some other states that will require another inspection, even after it was inspected in Florida. So we will give you all paperwork you need to get it inspected in your own state. If you are a FL buyer, we will have to inspect it for you prior to registering the truck.

Truck is located in OrlandoFL.  We ship vehicles nationwide for a fair price - no broker fees. Email me your zipcode for a quote.

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.

2014 Ford Transit unveiled in Chassis Cab and Cutaway versions

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

As a leader in commercial vehicles here in the US, we knew Ford wouldn't take too long to show off the chassis cab and cutaway versions of its 2014 Ford Transit van. Set to go on sale this fall, Ford already revealed the full-body version of the Transit, and now it has pulled the cover off exposed-frame models just in time to to compete against the all-new Ram Promaster.
The term "chassis cab" refers to models with a fully enclosed cabin used for box vans or rental trucks, while cutaway models leave the cabin open behind the B-pillars for a pass-through on vehicles such as Class C motorhomes or ambulances. Both will offer three wheelbase options (138, 156 and 178 inches), the choice of single or dually rear axles, and plenty of upfitter-friendly touches including a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations.
The new design will also help make upfitting a little easier since the fuel filler is now built into the cab (just behind the driver's door). Those integrated fuel filler necks will serve to feed either a 3.7-liter V6, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel. Transit chassis cab and cutaways will wear varying Gross vehicle weight ratings from 9,000 pounds to 10,360 pounds depending on spec.

1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
