YOU ARE LOOKING AT A 2012 FORD ESCAPE LIMITED, WITH ONLY 33K MILES. THIS TRUCK IS IN NEAR FLAWLESS CONDITION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN FULLY INSPECTED BY THE STATE AND PASSED ALL INSPECTIONS. I BOUGHT IT FROM A FRIEND OF MINE THAT SERVICED IT REGULARLY AND TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF IT. THIS TRUCK HAS A REBUILT TITLE DUE TO A REAR IMPACT THAT TOOK PLACE ON 1/4/2013, THERE WAS MINOR TO MODERATE DAMAGE REPORTED, THE AIRBAGS WERE NOT DEPLOYED. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE FRAME. IT HAS A GREAT CARFAX FOR A REBUILT TITLE. IT HAS AN AUTOCHECK SCORE OF 79, WHICH IS NEARLY CLEAR TITLE STATUS. ALL THE PARTS USED WERE ORIGINAL FORD CERTIFIED PARTS. THIS TRUCK IS PERFECT FROM THE INSIDE TO THE OUTSIDE, THERE ARE VERY SLIGHT CHIPS ON THE OUTSIDE THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO LOOK VERY CLOSE TO SEE. AS YOU CAN SEE IN MY PHOTOS, I COULDN'T EVEN CAPTURE THEM CLOSE UP. THIS TRUCK IN MY OPINION SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN REBUILT DUE TO THE WAY THAT THE TRUCK LOOKS AND DRIVES. THE TIRES ARE ALL MICHELIN WITH 90% TREAD LIFE LEFT IN THEM. IT LOOKS LIKE A BRAND NEW TRUCK, MUST SEE! I JUST SOLD AN ESCAPE LAST WEEK, YOU CAN CHECK OUT MY REVIEW. IT COMES WITH TWO SETS OF KEYS. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FIVE DAY NO RESERVE AUCTION AND THE FINAL BIDDER TAKES THIS TRUCK HOME. I AM REQUIRING AN IMMEDIATE $500 DEPOSIT UPON THE COMPLETION OF THE AUCTION AND FULL PAYMENT OF VEHICLE WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION. THERE IS ALSO A $150 DOCUMENTATION FEE AS WELL. PLEASE SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY AND IF YOU HAVE NO FEEDBACKS, PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING. IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME (MICHELLE) AT 313-671-0498. THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK!!

How the 2015 Ford Mustang will save your knees

Sat, 21 Jun 2014

The 2015 Mustang is one of the most hotly anticipated vehicles of the moment, and Ford continues to leak out interesting little details about its newest pony car. The latest info doesn't have anything to do with its quarter-mile time or handling, but if any of that goes drastically wrong, the innovative new glovebox-mounted airbag may prevent passengers from knee injuries.
All variants of the 2015 Mustang get the active knee airbag as standard, and it's the first vehicle in Ford's lineup to receive the system. The setup is actually quite simple and ingenious. The glovebox is made from a plastic outer panel that is attached to the inner door. Sandwiched between them is this new injection-molded plastic bladder that folds flat when in use. If the passenger-side airbag deploys, the system springs into action to act as a cushion for your knees. Compared to a traditional knee airbag that has to fully inflate, this arrangement is 65 percent lighter and can use a 75 percent smaller inflator. It's also basically invisible when you look at the glovebox door.
Ford spokesperson Ed Saenz declined to tell Autoblog whether the system will appear in other vehicles in the Blue Oval's lineup but said, "We're considering other applications." Provided it's effective, the approach seems too simple not to make its way to other products. Scroll down to watch a video showing how the glovebox-mounted knee airbag works.

Ford Focus 1.0-liter Ecoboost to only get manual trans in US

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

Photos of the 2015 Ford Focus leaked earlier today, but now we're able to tell you more details of the global five-door hatchback. Bucking automaker's troubling trend of ditching manual transmissions in favor of automatics, Ford says the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine will come only in a six-speed manual in the US, because, well, American drivers aren't as sophisticated as our European brothers and sisters.
Ford didn't come out and say it that way, but it has found American drivers are more prone to complain about automatics in smaller-engine cars, Raj Nair, Ford's group vice president of global product development, said at a press conference last week. The recent JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study backs up Ford's claims, pointing out that drivers are complaining about rough transmission shifts, engine hesitation and lack of power, particularly in small cars. In Europe and other parts of the world, drivers seem to understand the quirks of these pint-sized engines, Nair said, so they'll have the option to buy an automatic. Ford is working on tuning its dual-clutch transmissions to make them more amenable to American driver's tastes.
Ford will show off the refreshed 2015 Focus at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. The car is due for an update, having been on sale in its current form since 2012. The automaker said it is jamming the car full of new technology - like a USB port that promises to charge your phone in half the time as a regular USB port. Features like Sync and a rear back-up camera will come standard. For a more in-depth look at the car, take a look at the full press release.

Ford Explorer is America's new favorite police car

Mon, 24 Mar 2014

There is a new vehicle that you should keep an eye out for when you're going a little too fast down the Interstate. Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility was the bestselling new law enforcement model in the country last year, and signs show that won't be changing anytime soon.
Ford sold 14,086 Interceptor Utilities in 2013, up 140% from the year before, and 10,897 Interceptor Sedans, up 31%, according to USA Today. Overall, the brand's police sales were up 48 percent, and they were enough to boost the company's law enforcement vehicle market share by 9 points to nearly 50 percent.
The success comes just a few years after it made the decision to finally retire the long-serving Crown Victoria-based cruiser for two more modern vehicles. "We had to reinvent the category," said Chris Terry of Ford Communications to Autoblog. The automaker had to convince police departments that a unibody chassis without a V8 could perform better than a model that had been a law enforcement staple for years.
