MAKE AN OFFER AND THIS Easily Restorable well maintained 1970 E-200 ¾ ton van, in line 6 w/automatic transmission, with working a/c, cruise control, back up camera, am/fm radio w/cassette CAN BE YOURS. The van is in excellent running condition where no expense was ever spared for maintenance, and can be restored to its original beauty since the body and frame are intact. The van was originally a work van for about 10 years, then I installed a bench seat and began using it as a family van, for school, shopping, church, scouts, camping, school pick up and the like, and was in daily use until I was injured. Although I am now a retired disabled veteran I was about to begin restoring the van, until an injury, which now limits my activity. The original engine was completely overhauled on its 39th birthday. It has its dents and scratches and cosmetic problems, however considering that has been in daily service for almost 45 years this is expected. The van is an eye stopper, and it definitely attracts attention. I can’t take it out without people walking up to the van when it is parked, or some people just engage in conversation at stop lights, etc. If you don’t want to re store it immediately, you can just drive it until such time. When you check around you will see that there are not many of them left, at least not in this condition. The Kelly book value (http//www.nadaguides.com/classic cars, on this van is between $3,000 and $10,000 depending on condition, and/or restoration done. Currently the van has not been restored, therefore the price is in the low retail of $3,000, and I am open to offers. Contact don at 305,554-0532. Having working A/C in a vehicle this old is an accomplishment in itself. If you can find a better 1970 Classic - Buy It.

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.
Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang
Sat, 24 Aug 2013Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.
Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks
Sun, 25 May 2014Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. If you're interest is piqued, feel free to read the press release, watch the video and listen to the tracks below.
