2006 Econoline E150 on 2040-cars
Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for auction is one solid cargo van in good working condition. This van runs strong with no visible or audible problems. Ready to go to work.,At 128000 miles this big v8 4.6 engine is not half way yet... I bought this van from a mechanic a couple of months ago and had him do full tuneup including all the fluids and filters and battery and an oxigen sensor. The tires are about 80%. Everything is in good working order in this van the a/c is icy c cold, the heat works. Good steering frontend. the engine runs smooth. I drove this van almost everyday and had no problems. The only defects I see in this van are cosmetic in nature such as those dents and scratches on the right side and front fender, shown on pictures. Also scratches on the hood. Other than that this van is excellent and should give you years of service. I'm seling it because I am no longer running the flooring business and have no use for it. Good luck bidding

2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo
Tue, 14 Oct 2014The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.
Ford gives police chiefs tech to surveil officers in their own cars
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Police officers certainly have a difficult job in keeping the streets safe, but as public employees in positions of authority, there is still a very real need for oversight. To that end, Ford is partnering with a tech company to offer a new system called Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement on its line of Police Interceptor patrol vehicles that could make cops safer, while giving cities a better idea of what its officers are doing.
The system streams live data about cruisers back to the home base to people like the police chief or shift supervisor. That info includes expected things like speed, location and cornering acceleration, but it gets incredibly granular as well, with records of things like if emergency lights are on, or even if an officer is wearing a seatbelt.
Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement "ought to protect officers as much as it protects the public," said Ford spokesperson Chris Terry to Autoblog. Constantly monitoring patrol cars offers cities a lot of advantages, too. First, it reduces potential liability because a department can prove where each vehicle is at all times. Also, officers know they are being watched and may potentially drive more safely.
