I have up for sale a rare low mileage 7.3 power stroke diesel passenger van. It is a van that I have been using for about 4 years and have put about 40 thousand miles on it. The best feature other then the power stroke is that on trips I get about 20 mpg no matter what. I can be going straight down the highway or up through the mountains. It has the 3.55 gears and posi traction. I just found a lower mileage van to replace this one. That is why it is time to let this one go. The body is really good shape. The interior is above average for a passenger van of this age. I have over time that I have owned the van done a few services and repairs. In the last 10k miles I did a transmission service with a new filter Regular oil changes at 5000 New starter 2 years ago I upgraded the sliding door rollers New batteries a 2.5 years ago Fuel and air filters A couple door lock actuators Rear door latch and handle Sliding door handle Front brake pads Water fuel seperator valve Front end work with the alignment We used this for a lot of out of state trips. Many of the miles where highway miles. The last trip was down to santa cruz in March. The front and rear AC/heater work great. All the door locks work as well as the power windows. The transmission shifts strong without slipping. It is a twelve passenger with cargo room in the back. The last bench is the four seater. The carpets show very little use as does the seats. There are typical door dings and wear for a 10 year old 100k vehicle. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Karsten Mercedes Only

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.

Next Ford Mustang to drop 400 pounds
Thu, 15 Aug 2013The Ford Mustang is already the lightest of the current crop of muscle cars, at around 3,600 pounds for a GT coupe with the six-speed manual transmission. That's almost 260 pounds less than a Chevrolet Camaro SS and about 450 pounds less than a Dodge Challenger R/T, which means the Mustang has a pretty big advantage when it comes to handling, braking, accelerating and economy. More good news: The next Mustang will be even lighter.
According to a report from Edmunds, the sixth-generation Mustang, which is set to debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, will shed an additional 400 pounds of body fat. That 11-percent weight reduction will be thanks to lightweight materials, with a particular focus on using stronger, but less material in construction. Aluminum will feature heavily, but Edmunds' inside source warns that there is "nothing terribly exotic" coming to the original pony car.
The other big news is that the new Mustang will be smaller overall. It's going to be 15-inches shorter than the 188.5-inch Mustang on sale today, while it'll also be 6.5 inches narrower. Shorter overhangs, both in the front and rear, are also good signs for those that want an agile Mustang.
