There is minor rust around wheel arches. The paint is good but a little tlc in this dept. would not hurt. Tires are worn really need to be changed.I use the van for furniture removal and just light duty work. This was a passenger vehicle, now the seats are gone so is the trim in the rear. Driver and passenger seat and trim are intact.Last week the IDM was replaced.Brakes work great.Transmission works fine no issues.Towing feature works well. All lights and turn signals, hazard lights workTowing lights work when hooked up.Head lining is coming unstuck near wind shield top.Rubber floor cover is good no tears.Seats no tears."

The van has been my daily driver for the past 3 years, the worst thing that happened the IDM failed so that was replaced last year and then recently it failed again. My diesel guy said he would replace it free of charge because it was still under warranty and because the bad IDM was reported as troublesome he switched to another manufacturer so I guess this to would be covered!

This van was purchased from a very nice man in the next town over in Rome NY. He assured me I could pull a house with it if I wanted to. And it would drive like a champ, well he was right it does perform very well and I have towed a few trailers. The brake and light and hazard features all work satisfactorily. The cargo area will accomodate sheets of 12ft. sheets of rock or ply.

The reason I'm selling I have a pickup now and would like to run a sedan for my 2nd vehicle.

This is a pickup only auction, I insist on payment at the end of the auction using Paypal or certified check is good, not when the vehicle is picked up!

Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.

Ford gives S-Max the Vignale treatment in Milan

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Ford has a bit of a history in reviving the names of old coachbuilders it has long since gobbled up and using them to distinguish its top-of-the-line models in Europe. That's what it did for years with Ghia, and after having replaced it several years ago with the Titanium trim level, now it's doing it again with Vignale.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, Ford revealed the Mondeo Vignale concept in both sedan and wagon body-styles, which are set to reach production next year. But before they do, the Blue Oval automaker is at it again, applying similar upgrades to the S-Max minivan and unveiling it in concept form in Milan this week.
Setting the Vignale concept apart from any other S-Max is its Milano Grigio rose-hued silver pearlescent paint, 21-inch alloys, chrome trim and hexagonal-pattern grille. Inside it's all ultra-soft quilted leather and aluminum trim, with tablet docking stations in the back and thinner, more flexible seats than the existing production version.

Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost sales robust in early going

Tue, 13 May 2014

Okay, okay, okay, so I was just a smidge wrong. Those that read my review of the Ford Fiesta with the new 1.0-liter, EcoBoost engine will know that while I really enjoyed the torquey little three-cylinder, I was concerned that Ford's decision to force 1.0-liter owners into a manual transmission, steel wheels and one trim level might hurt sales of the new engine. I was also concerned that the promised 45-mile-per-gallon highway rating wouldn't be enough to tempt buyers into trying an engine that's so far outside of what the general public is use to. My concerns, though, seem to have been for naught.
While not doing a booming business on the triple-equipped Fiesta, Ford is seeing a take rate of four to eight percent per month in the engine's first few months on sale. Now, four to eight percent might not sound like a lot - if, like last year, the Fiesta sells around 71,000 units, there'd be barely 5,600 1.0-liter models on the road. It is also small potatoes relative to the take rate on EcoBoost-equipped vehicles across the Ford range, which US sales analyst Erich Merkle estimates to be roughly 35 to 40 percent of retail sales. Still, according to The Detroit News, the 1.0-liter is getting adopted at roughly the same rate as the sparkling Fiesta ST, which should be a solid indication of just how well this little engine is doing.
The 1.0-liter's success "really speaks volumes, not just to what we're doing with the Fiesta, but with EcoBoost in general," Merkle told Autoblog.
