The windows have been tinted with ceramic tint. The oil, air filter and transmission fluid all have been changed in November 2013. All four tires have also been replaced in November 2013. I have had the car inspected and serviced by a mechanic and a front-end shop. This car was owned and operated by a local city that is known for taking great car of their vehicles. The car has only 111,068 miles on it. This car has been in the Texas area its entire life and has NO RUST ON IT. The car was painted black and white at the factory. The paint is still in good shape with only minor rock chips and scratches on it. The body is very straight with only a few minor "door ding" type dents. The antenna holes are all plugged with plastic caps and sealed water-tight. The rear windows and doors work perfectly like a normal car. You can use the child safety lock to disable the interior handles. The car appears to have NEVER been smoked in. The city that this car came from is one of the nicer suburbs of Dallas and they take great care of their vehicles. The car shows signs of many new parts and no issues at all. This car has no leaks or drips, does not smoke and has no shimmies or shakes at 80 mph on the freeway. The transmission shifts out solidly and smoothly with no issues. This car is ready to be driven anywhere and be put to work or be enjoyed. All the power and electronic equipment work like new. The air conditioning is ice cold and the heater warm and toasty. Ford says C-Max mpg reduction has hurt sales
Tue, 22 Apr 2014The Ford C-Max is having a rough time. Sales for the five-door hybrid hatchback were down 39.1 percent in March to 2,295 cars, and sales from January through March were down 42.5 percent to 5,566 units. In an interview with The Detroit News, Ford Americas boss Joe Hinrichs places the blame on lowering the model's fuel economy rating.
"We're definitely seeing consideration on C-Max decline over time. We need to reinvest in the product because it's a great car," said Hinrichs to The Detroit News.
The company was hit with bad publicity over the C-Max when owners in multiple states filed class action lawsuits that alleged the cars weren't able to meet the stated fuel economy. Ford eventually re-rated the model from 47 miles per gallon city, highway and combined to 40 mpg city, 45 mpg highway and 43 mpg combined. To soften the blow of the change, the automaker sent checks to the owners to make up some of the difference. Initially, Ford claimed that demand remained strong for the hybrid. However, the latest sales figures and Hinrichs' statement seem to show the opposite.
Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
