Up for auction. I have a 1988 Ford Crown Vic . I purchased this car for my son to use but he travels too far away so he bought a new small car. This car is originally from Florida ( all paperwork included). The owner passed away and the car was sold and brought to Ontario Canada. To the best of my knowledge the car has been in this country for almost 3 years.

The car is in very good condition, it does have 2 very small surface rust spots starting where the tail light cones meet the rear quarter panels but they are very minor, the car also has a very small dent on the rear driverside door ( perhaps a shopping cart ?) the wheel well trim is missing from the rear right side. there are also a small scrape mark on the right front corner which only removed a little paint from the filler panel between the bumper and the front fender. The car has been rust proofed and is evident under the car as well as under the doors and door jams. The paint is very good for the age of the car and the chrome is almost perfect The interior has what appears to be a small mark in the drivers seat ( not a tear )  but otherwise is in very good shape. the car is fully loaded and all power options work well except the a/c , there is no oil leaks around the clutch on the compressor and all lines appear to be in good shape so my guess is the a/c only needs a charge. The car was regularly serviced and has had the following new parts installed.... New Battery, new alternator, new rear U joint, new brake lines , rotors, ignition module and a complete tuneup. The engine is a 5.0 liter EFI V8 and runs like new . The transmission is a 4 speed automatic and shifts very smooth. The car also has a rated 6000 pound towing hitch as well as a transmission cooler. I have no reserves on driving this car anywhere in North America ! It is very smooth on the highway and has lots of power !

Please dont hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or would like more pictures of the car !

In the province of Ontario you must certify a car to be safe and road worthy as well as an emissions test.... I have had both done and the car passed with flying colors !

Buyer is responsible for shipping the car or pick up from my driveway.

This car is for sale locally and if sold the auction will be cancelled .

Winning bidder must put a 500.00 non refundable deposit via paypal within 48 hours. Full payment is required within 7 days of auction end.

NOTE .... IF YOUR BID WINS THIS CAR, THIS IS A BINDING AGREEMENT ! ANY BIDDERS WITH LESS THAN A FEEDBACK OF 5 MUST CONTACT ME OR MAY BE REMOVED FROM BIDDING ON THIS CAR !

No Warranty of any kind applys with this car.

Ford board pushing Mulally for decision amidst fears story is drowning out other news

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Automakers and their executives rarely like to divulge information regarding future goings on, but the board of directors at Ford sound like they're getting a little antsy about chief executive officer Alan Mulally and his plans for 2014.
According to Reuters, as news of Mulally's possible departure to Microsoft continues to swirl, Ford's board is looking to push the affable executive to make a decision about his future sooner rather than later. Apparently, the board is growing concerned that this will-he/won't-he drama may end up distracting the media from covering Ford's other big news events next year - items like the debut of key all-new products like the Mustang and F-150.
So far, the picture for Mulally's eventual successor remains fuzzy, but it's understood that the leading candidate remains the company's chief operating officer, Mark Fields. Just recently, we heard that Mulally will stay until the end of 2014, but a few months ago, Ford seemed open to the idea of him stepping down earlier than that.

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy

Sun, 31 Aug 2014

Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).

US Ford Focus RS to be imported from Europe

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

Rumors about the forthcoming Ford Focus RS are flourishing into what sounds like a very impressive new hot hatch. The latest scuttlebutt gives the first indication about when we might see a few of these fast Focuses on roads here in the US.
Unnamed insiders reportedly confirmed to The Truth About Cars that Ford plans to launch the Focus RS in the US in 2016. However, getting one might not be so easy - the boosted powertrain means the car would likely need to be imported from Europe. That's likely going to keep the total number available in the US rather low. The sources estimate a price tag that's a bit more expensive than the top Focus ST3, which starts around $28,500, plus $825 destination.
It seems that a pretty potent package comes for all of that cash, though. The Focus RS reportedly uses a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making between 325 and 350 horsepower, with a torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system to get that muscle to the road. The test mules also wear more aggressive front and rear fascias, dual exhaust tips, larger brakes and sticky tires. It sounds like a great formula on top of the already enjoyable Focus ST.
