1991 Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Doylestown, Pennsylvania, United States
Nice running full sized bronco xlt. The good: New alternator, rebuilt transmission, new ignition switch. Interior is nice. Dashboard has no cracks. New radio with am/fm/cd/mp3 and hands free talk for your cell phone. New battery. Cruise control does work. Tires still have a lot of tread on them. Runs like a top. Bronco has a professionally installed suspension lift and body lift kit and sits on 35 inch Nitto Terra Grapplers. I haven't measured but it's about 10 inches of total lift. It's got the 351ci motor. The truck is a blast to drive. The bad: The drivers side floor board is shot and needs to be replaced. Gas gauge doesn't work. The paint is ok but not great. It's got a few dings here and there. The rear window does not work. The power window switch on the driver's side does not work the passenger side window. The a/c does not work but the heat and defrost do. There's no rear speakers. The exhaust leaks and probably won't pass inspection. The current inspection stickers expired last year. To get it inspected, the floor boards and the exhaust need to be fixed.
I bought this truck with plans on fixing it up and making it my daily driver. I drive it 4 to 5 days a week but I don't have the time to finish it. When the truck is cleaned and waxed it's definitely a head turner. I am having problems trying to upload pics. I have three more of the inside. Send me a message with your email address and I'll forward more pics. |

2016 Ford Focus RS may yet be AWD, US sales likely
Fri, 29 Aug 2014When it comes to forbidden fruit, few vehicles are spoken of in as hushed a tone as the Ford Focus RS. The turbocharged, five-cylinder hot hatch could only be seen from afar by American customers as it tore up the roads of Europe. And while it's safe to say that Ford's Yankee fans are quite happy to now be on equal footing with drivers in the old country thanks to the Focus ST, we doubt there'd be much protestation over a successor to the RS arriving stateside.
Of course, we've seen images of the new RS undergoing testing, but a new story by Road and Track aims to fill in some very large blanks in our knowledge of that car, thanks to a pair of mysterious insiders at the Ford. Chief among those is this - the RS will almost certainly make its way to the US, albeit in limited quantities. It gets better, though.
Under hood, the new RS is unsurprisingly expected to borrow the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Lincoln MKC. While that twin-scroll turbo produces 310 horsepower in the Mustang and 285 ponies in the MKC, R&T expects the RS to deliver quite a bit more firepower - 325 to 350 hp, with preference going to the higher output due to the limited-edition nature of the RS. This roughly fits with previous reports.
Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC
Thu, 17 Apr 2014There's something to be said for luxed-out vans. They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.
Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation
Sat, 09 Aug 2014
The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
