UP FOR SALE IS A 1986 FORD BRONCO XLT 4X4 WITH REMOVABLE TOP. LOW MILES. STRAIGHT BODY. GOOD CONDITION. CURRENTLY ON NON-OP DUE TO REPAIRS THAT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FIX. STILL NEED TO PUT IN A NEW TPS AND SPLICE 2 TAIL LIGHT WIRES BACK TOGETHER (DOGS ATE THEM). SOME NEW PARTS, COMES WITH SOME OTHER USED PARTS I GOT AS EXTRAS (JUST IN CASE). A/C ONLY BLOWS OUT THE DEFROSTER DUE TO CRACKED PLASTIC LINES (TYPICAL FORD, BUT AN EASY FIX). RUNS GREAT (WILL RUN BETTER WHEN I PUT IN THE TPS SENSOR). SURFACE RUST ON THE HOOD, OTHERWISE NONE. COULD USE A PAINT JOB OR A REALLY DEEP WAXING. INTERIOR IS IN AMAZINGLY GOOD SHAPE FOR THIS YEAR OF A TRUCK. ALL WINDOWS WORK. SHOULD BE SMOG READY AS SOON AS I REPLACE THE TPS. TIRES ARE DECENT AND HOLD AIR. WHY AM A GETTING RID OF IT? I AM TIRED OF FUEL INJECTION. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE EASY, BUT AS A GIRL WHO GREW UP LEARNING FROM HER DADDY ALL ABOUT CARBURATION...I AM DONE. Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.

2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid

As difficult as it is to write this, I was actually excited about the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. With the beautiful looks of the newest midsize fighter from Ford and a fuel economy estimate capable of shaming even the stalwart Camry Hybrid, the battery-augmented four-door seemed like a recipe for unabashed success. But appearances love nothing more than swapping our boundless enthusiasm for cold platters of disappointment. The 2013 Fusion Hybrid gets hobbled right out of the gate with a lofty price tag, and real-world driving keeps the sedan from even approaching those EPA figures.
With so many excellent midsize hybrids on the market, is there any reason to consider the newest Fusion Hybrid? Are sharp aesthetics, a well-executed interior and capable driving dynamics enough to overcome the machine's shortfalls? Not from where I'm standing.
