1973 Ford Bronco (Ranger Package) No rust. 2nd owner Bronco has been in my garage for the past 16years with very minimal use. When I first purchased the bronco I went through the running gear and upgraded everything below with the intention of making it look stock but yet with a degree of stance and capability if it was ever needed. The Bronco is perfect for someone who wants something solid to complete but yet has a lot of extra parts already installed. You can add your finishing touches to it from here. I have the entire original chrome trim set for it as well. I removed everything when I first purchased it to ensure there was no signs of rust. I applied POR15 on the undercarriage. There is probably less than 1-2k miles on all of these parts Engine: Strong 302 rebuilt prior to my purchase maybe 20k Long tube headers Drive Train: Model 44 FE with Ford Disks 9” BB w/ Caddy Disks ( BC Broncos ) 4:10 R&P OEM posi in front Detroit Locker in Rear Superior 31spline axles F150 TRO linkage Texas Off-Road Rebuilt PS Quick Ratio IDIDIT Steering Column, tilt Grant Steering Wheel 3 1/2 Duff aggressive suspension 11 pack rear springs 8” wheels with 10.50x33 BFG MT’s Mile Marker SS hubs C4 automatic 23gal JBG tank Cross Enterprise rear inboard kit Rancho 9k Shocks F150 extended shock towers Adjustable Trac-Bar All new Brake lines and SS flex lines Body: No rust 73 Body Un-Cut Body Proto-Fab front bumper w/9k Warn winch Photo-Fab rear bumper with tire rack Original Hounds tooth interior Family Cage Roll Bar Tuffy Center Console Rhino Sprayed interior POR15 undercarriage New door seals- still in box New door pins- still in box Hardtop available

Ford, Volvo top 2014 EyesOn Design awards

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Each year at the Detroit Auto Show, the top vehicle designs are recognized with the prestigious EyesOn Design award for production and concept vehicles. This year, the 32 EyesOn Design judges (comprised of current and former vehicle designers including Chrysler designer and SRT president Ralph Gilles, Kia designer Peter Schreyer and retired General Motors designer Wayne Cherry) handed out three awards for the Best Concept Vehicle, Best Production Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials.
Beating out the Mercedes C-Class and Ford F-150, the 2015 Ford Mustang was named the Best Production Vehicle as the top auto show debut at this year's Detroit show. The 2014 Volvo Concept XC Coupe took home awards as the Best Concept Vehicle and for its Innovative Use of Color, Graphics and Materials.
Considering the Volvo's primer grey hue and subtle orange accents, it was a rather surprising winner for Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials over flashier concepts like the Toyota FT-1 and our Editors' Choice top pick, the Kia GT4 Stinger. Other vehicles in the running for the concept car award include the GT4 Stinger and Audi Allroad Shooting Brake

11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.

MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms

Mon, 17 Jun 2013

Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
