I have up for auction my 1972 Ford Bronco. This original, uncut Bronco would make an excellent restoration piece or with a little work a fun weekend driver. This Bronco is equipped with the original 170 6cyl and three speed on the column. As you can see in the pictures it has the normal bronco rust and a few dings and dents. Some patch work had been done by a previous owner, but not a professional job. The frame on this Bronco is rock solid. Mechanically, some work has already been done to include new wheel cylinders all the way around, every brake hose has been replaced, had rear drive shaft professionally rebuilt and new u-joints in the front driveshaft, new outer axle bearings in the rear end with new axle seals. The original transmission was shot and I replaced it with a know good trans, new fuel pump, etc. The engine does use oil and runs a little rough at idle. Overall this Bronco is in original unrestored condition, so if you have any questions please ask before you bid. This vehicle is sold AS/IS WHERE IS with no warranty. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs and arranging the shipping. I require a $500.00 deposit through PayPal within 24hrs. of the auction ending with the remaining balance due within 4 days of the auction ending and I will accept a cashier check or cash in person. I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
Stock Miata beats bunch of high-powered cars in wet 1/4-mile drag race
Thu, 06 Jun 2013When is a stock, 167-horsepower Mazda MX-5 Miata quicker than a Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lotus Elise and a Porsche 911? When it's raining. Sort of.
Mazda Canada arranged a unique drag race to show off the fact that the Miata's optional power retractable folding hardtop can go from top-down to top-up in just 12 seconds flat. In this video, all six cars line up for a drag race, and it starts to rain (well, sort of - but you'll have to watch the video all the way to the end to see what we mean). The green flag is waved, and the timer starts as soon as the convertibles begin to put their tops up. But because the Miata's roof mechanism gets the car's roof back up a full 5.1 seconds quicker than the second-place car, the Mazda gets a serious advantage off the line for the actual drag race.

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track
Sun, 10 Mar 2013We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.
