1971 Ford Bronco A-List Celebrity Owned Beauty, EXCELLENT INVESTMENT, in my opinion.

This gorgeous vehicle was previously owned by an extremely well known & world famous academy award winning A-List Celebrity Actress. This person will not be named here for privacy reasons. This information is fully verifiable and documented. I am privileged to have the opportunity to list this vehicle for sale.
This is absolutely a rare opportunity at an VERY COLLECTIBLE Classic FORD Bronco.
Runs and drives well, very fun vehicle.

Beginning in 2010, this vehicle has undergone a very nice beautification/restoration and upgrading of many systems. There has been very light usage during that time, under 3,000 miles which is documented.
Total mileage on the truck since 1972 appears to be 96,998. Currently registered with tags til June of 2013.
The Ford 302 engine runs well and has the original air cleaner, rebuilt original 2 barrel carburetor, original 2 barrel intake manifold, new water pump, new billet aluminum pulleys, new HEI electronic distributor (no points to change), New ignition wires, new belts. This is believed to be the original engine block.

A nice sounding dual exhaust system was installed with all new pipe and new mufflers. Pipes go all the way out to the rear bumper to minimize exhaust fumes.

A Certified ASE Master Technician installed:
NEW POWER STEERING BOX (TOMS BRONCO PARTS), NEW POWER STEERING PUMP, NEW custom fabricated POWER STEERING SHAFT (From Tom’s Bronco parts, with Borgeson Joint).
Also has a remanufactured alternator, new voltage regulator, new radiator cap.
The certified ASE mechanic also installed a new heavy duty clutch disk, pressure plate, and throwout bearing.
A floor shifter from Tom’s Bronco Parts was installed for the standard three speed transmission. This is a new Hurst unit, with new boot, Hurst ball, diamond plate cover, and all new internals. This was a big improvement over the original three on the tree shifter.

The Axle in the rear is the 9” factory ford unit. Front axle is the larger Dana 44.

POWER BRAKES

The brakes on this vehicle were fully redone, with new POWER brake booster from Tom’s Bronco with new master cylinder, new bracket and installation hardware, new vacuum hose, new brake lines and hoses. Drums were replaced, all shoes, and hardware kits were installed with new springs, etc. Rear axle seals have been replaced, along with the axle bearings. The rear 3rd member seal was also replaced with a new pinion bearing and seal.

New shocks at all four wheels.

New front suspension C bushings, Radius Arm bushings, and track bar bushings.

New front and rear fuel tanks. New floor selector valve for fuel gauges.

The Upholstery/Interior has been fully redone and upgraded.

Original front lowback bucket seats were reupholstered with new foam padding. Passenger seat still has original swivel brackets. Rear seat was reupholstered completely. (name of celebrity was also written under the base of this seat). Full carpet was installed with drivers side heelpad, all the way to the tailgate. New side panels were made and installed for the rear quarter interior area. New front door panels were also made, with recovered armrests, new door ‘cups.’ Has visors and wiper motor cover. The VIN tags are intact in the glove box door and on the drivers rear door pillar. New door weatherstrip. Inside of top has faded original white paint. Grant GT steering wheel with working horn. Rollbar installed inside. New tailgate weatherstrip. New liftgate chrome handle. Original radio installed in dash (nonop)

The paint job was new 3 years ago. It is still shiny and nice but does have some small scratches/imperfections on close inspection. It is a deep ruby red and gets many compliments. During the repaint, the front floors and rocker panels were replaced with correct, welded in components. The hardtop exterior was repainted in the original shade of white. A power hoist is included with the bronco which facilitates hardtop removal, you can do it by yourself once the hoist is installed in your garage. The engine bay was painted in red basecoat clearcoat, grill was painted argent.

Side trim was replaced new, including Bronco Sport emblems, side marker lenses, new fender flares from Bushwacker with rubber welting, new chrome headlight rings, new urethane signal bases with new lenses, new chrome and red grill letters, new chrome bumpers front and rear, new stainless license plate bracket, new taillight bezels.

The speedy looking custom wheels are new alloy slotted mags made in a limited quantity and no longer available to my knowledge.
The tires are Adventuro GT Radials with a mud terrain tread.

This is a really nice running and driving bronco. It is not perfect but is obviously well dressed and is a profoundly collectible vehicle, given its former ownership by a respected celebrity who is known world wide.

To purchase this vehicle, please bid. After meeting the reserve, please email your contact information.  Balance is to be paid in full within 5 business days of auction close. Your bid is a contract and will be treated as such.
To make a reasonable offer, please email with your contact phone number.

This vehicle is sold strictly on an as is basis, without warranty oral written express implied of fitness or otherwise. This is a pre owned vehicle from the 20th Century. In my opinion, it drives very easy and performs well but it is not a new car and is not 100% restored, nor is it 100% perfect.  If you wish to do an inspection, they are to be performed before the auction ends, not after. Vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if the right offer comes through before auction ends.

Celebrity vehicles often have a very significant increased value over non celebrity owned.  Do a search for celebrity owned vehicle values.

Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.

Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
Scroll down for Ford's full press release on this EcoBoost production milestone, including a breakdown of where all the engines were made.
