Available is a very straight, original and basically rust free Bronco from Arizona. Included is the original owners manual and owner's card. It is a 6 cylinder/3 speed. The motor has been rebuilt and a new clutch was installed. It has a new OEM carb, distributor, coil, and vacuum fuel pump. The brakes are good and the 4WD works. Mechanically, she is good to go. Fly in and drive it home, or have it transported. I have a broker that can typically get you a .75/mile rate.

The original color is Wimbledon White, but it has had one respray Pebble Beige. It's cut in the rear, but the cut outs are included if you want to go back uncut. Included is the original Town and Country spare that mounts to the tailgate from the inside. She's wearing 30x9.50x15 Bridgestone's that are like new. The 1968 Bronco also has bolt on window frames that can be removed if you want a Roadster look when Summer driving with the top off. In 69-77 the frames are welded on. These frames have never been off.

The steering wheel and horn button are original. It has a pencil dash pad in good condition. The front seats are OEM and recovered in Red vinyl, the rear seat needs recovering. The body is incredibly solid. The door posts and strikers are perfect and the doors close tight with no sagging. Look close at all the pictures illustrating how rust free this '68 is. It is so hard to find an original Bronco that is this solid. All the glass is original and date coded.

Here's your opportunity to own a Bronco that you don't have to spend ANY money on rust repair. The front floors have some POR15 brushed on them to prevent future rust, but there is no rust through. Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.

Ford cranks up '32 Ford body production

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

If you're going to build your own hot rod, you'll want to start with a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Favored by American servicemen returning from World War II, the '32 Ford remains the very icon of the hot rod to this day. The trouble is there were only so many of them made in the first place, and finding one today can be a challenge. That's where reproduction models come in.
The aftermarket is replete with companies that will sell you a fiberglass body in the form of a '32 Ford coupe, but quality can be hit or miss. So to help meet demand among hot rod builders and enthusiasts, Ford has teamed up with United Pacific Industries to offer officially licensed body shells.
Announced at the SEMA show in November, the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe body is made from stamped steel according to original specifications from original machinery where possible or reproduced machinery built to the same original specifications where necessary. The bodies are ready to accept vintage powertrains or crate motors from the Ford Racing catalog, and join the 9,000 other parts offered in the Ford Component Sales catalog - including similar reproduction bodies available for the 1965-70 Mustang and 1940 Ford Coupe. From there, the proverbial sky's the limit.

Ford making Fusion production moves to challenge Camry on volume

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

The Ford Fusion may already beat the Toyota Camry in terms of models offered, transaction price and sales increase so far this year, but if the Fusion wants to make a run at the title of best-selling car in the US, Bloomberg reminds us that volume is key. Opening a second production line at the Flat Rock, MI assembly plant will reportedly allow Ford to produce around 350,000 Fusions annually, which compares Toyota's ability to crank out 475,000 Camrys and Honda's capacity to build around 450,000 Accords.
For the Fusion, that's an extra 100,000 units compared to the car's current pace, and the article adds that the Fusion is "Ford's best shot" to regain the passenger car sales crown - a title it (or any other US automaker, for that matter) hasn't held since the mid-1990s. Despite hiccups with recalls and fuel economy numbers, the Ford Fusion is still red hot when it comes to sales. Fusion sales are up 13 percent so far this year (compared to a 0.6 percent decrease for Camry), and its average transaction price of $26,343 is about $2,300 more than its rival from Toyota.
The Fusion's popularity has helped Ford improve its sales in California; the Dearborn-based automaker has a market share of 18 percent in the state, which is just a fraction of a percentage behind Honda. And this popularity should continue as Ford ups Fusion production and expands the model lineup even further for 2014 with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine soon to become an option.
