All of these transactions were done at Boardwalk Ferrari in Dallas, TX. I have complete history from Day 1. I purchased the car in October of 2011 (after a year long search - as this was my favorite color combo - very rare) and put on approximately 3500 miles, of which I would say 2500 were from long drives with fellow exotic car enthusiast. All campaigns up to date and history from when I purchased the car is attached. Tires have plenty of life remaining. Car is 100% stock, except for the V1 Hardwire and Flashlight in the Glovebox. When I purchased the car, it had the original clear bra on the front and rear bumpers. I had the old clear bra professionally removed and had a full front end clear bra, side rockers, side mirrors and rear bumper from the tire to the curve of the rear bumper done by Rob @ Design Shield in Chicago, IL. Before the clear bra was installed, Ivan @ LUSTR Auto Detail detailed the car and prepped it for the clear bra install. The interior and exterior is are perfect condition, except for some slight wear on the drivers seat bolster - about 2 to 3". I had the windows switches re-finsihed by Stickynomore. All other parts are fine. The car has been meticulously maintained, is super clean and all service done by Continental Auto Sports in Hinsdale, IL. I will gladly assist in coordinating a PPI for any prospective buyer (at the buyers expense). |

This is what it's like to drive Magnum PI's Ferrari 308
Sat, 26 Oct 2013In the pantheon of 80s pop culture, few cars have such provenance as the Ferrari 308. Sure, vehicular icons like the DeLorean and Pontiac Trans Am (especially in time machine and KITT guise) made us swoon back in the day, but there's something about the bright red Italian that makes it stand out; perhaps it is the 308's performance credibility, at least when compared to other memorable cars of its ilk.
Our fondness for Magnum PI's Ferrari 308 is shared by Oscar Verdugo, who's featured in the video you'll see below. Brought to you by theAFICIONAUTO, this video highlights the bond between the men and women who own and love such so-called star cars, and it focuses on one particular 1981 Ferrari 308 GTSI. Scroll down to watch the video below.
Video proof that LaFerrari has a pure electric mode
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Typically, a hybrid car, with its gas engine and an electric motor/battery pack is able to run on both forms of propulsion independently of each other. That means you can sip gas, run on pure electricity or some variation there of. The Ferrari LaFerrari is not like other hybrids.
See, the successor to the Enzo has batteries, an electric motor and a great, thumping V12 engine, but unlike its rivals from McLaren and Porsche, it has no standalone electric mode. That's been Ferrari's party line since day one. But have the Italians been exaggerating a bit? Judging by this video, it seems like a real possibility.
The video comes from what we're guessing is a European track day. It shows a black LaFerrari stealthily sailing through a tunnel on pure electric power, which it shouldn't be able to do, before its 789-horsepower V12 fires to life.
Ferrari launches 2014 Formula One engine, tests it in a LaFerrari? [w/videos]
Mon, 23 Dec 2013Ferrari is the last of the three engine manufacturers remaining in Formula One to reveal its 2014 power unit. Called the 059/3, like the Mercedes and Renault units it is a turbocharged, 1.6-liter V6 further boosted by an energy recovery system that is twice as powerful as before. The 2013 KERS was good for 80 horsepower, could power the car for six seconds and reduce a lap time by about 0.3 seconds. For 2014, the energy recovery system puts out 160 hp, powers the car for 30 seconds on full batteries and, according to Ferrari, can shave a massive three seconds per lap.
The car that surrounds this engine doesn't have a name yet - that will be chosen by Ferrari's social media followers in January from a selection of names provided by the Scuderia.
Ferrari didn't provide an audio sample of the power unit at its introduction, but a brief video taken at Fiorano has led folks to believe that the team has been testing the engine in a revised LaFerrari chassis. The clip shows a camouflaged version of the marque's new supercar fitted with a roof intake and sounding nothing at all like a V12 as it takes the hairpin and powers onto the straight.
