2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Coupe on 2040-cars
Norwell, Massachusetts, United States
Featured here is a 2009 Bianco Avus white Scuderia w/ black leather interior with only 2,432 miles. The car is in brand new condition and is still in stock form. I have all service records up to date by certified Ferrari dealers. To my knowledge the car is one of the lowest mile White Scuderia's left. I bought this car from Ferrari of New England Just over a year ago. The car had 1,036 miles when I took possession. The car was in museum quality shape then and still remains that way. Ferrari New England has serviced the car once before I bought it and its there now getting another yearly service. This amazing Ferrari is just about as raw of a drivers car you can possibly buy!! Jeremy Clarkson refers to it as what a real Ferrari should feel like, in his words its a knife edge racer or a street brawler that sounds like gods are having sex. He sold me lol!! As I am writing this description I'm starting to second guess on letting her go, but unfortunately its time to make a change. This is the perfect car for the true auto enthusiast who just loves to be behind the wheel of a true sports car.. Two weeks and 2,000 miles in Ferrari's FF with Evo
Mon, 28 Jan 2013EVO's Harry Metcalfe had some questions about the day-to-day livability of the Ferrari FF. When he brought those questions up to Ferrari, they suggested he take one for a couple of weeks and try it out for, as he calls them, "mundane duties." The image above is Metcalfe pointing to the 660-horsepower, all-wheel drive FF parked in one of his fields because, since he lives on a farm, mucking about the green is part of his daily routine. "It could use more ground clearance," he says, "but that's an option on this car."
He does get it on the "tarmac" and he likes it even more there than in the mud. Except for the buttons on the steering wheel; he thinks learning to use them is like learning to play guitar. He has a lot more to say besides that, and you can watch him expound for all of 17 minutes in the video below.
Meet the man whose house is designed around his car
Tue, 21 May 2013It's been a couple of years since we last heard about Holger Schubert and his award-winning office/garage, but it looks like the city of Los Angeles, thankfully, did not force him to tear down the bridge that gives his Ferrari 512 BBi arguably the nicest parking spot in California. Petrolicious is back again with another well-done video, which finally introduces us to Schubert as well as his lust-worthy Ferrari.
As for the structure, it is half garage and half work space with an office, couch, bookshelf and television, and one hell of a view. There is a ramp that raises to allow the Ferrari to roll backward out of the garage before starting up on the aforementioned bridge that sits 16-feet above the ground. The car itself is an equally admirable piece of art, with a wedge-like shape and its reserved dark gray hue. If you're not the jealous type, scroll down to meet Schubert and his incredible Ferrari.
Why newly independent Ferrari may be forced into fuel-efficient cars
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The repercussions from Ferrari's pending transition into an independent automaker won't be understood for some time, but one of the biggest consequences could be that the iconic Italian marque will be forced into building more fuel-efficient vehicles.
As Wired points out, while Ferrari built fewer than 7,000 cars in 2013, its status as a public company could trigger pressure from shareholders to build more six-figure supercars and grand tourers. In turn, doing so could lead the company afoul of US Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards, which dictate that any company that sells over 10,000 vehicles needs to maintain a certain fuel economy average across its fleet or risk fines.
With arguably its most popular model, the 458 Italia, hitting just 17 miles per gallon on the highway and its most efficient model, the turbocharged California T, stuck at 18 mpg, Ferrari isn't in a great place to hit the government's mandates (which are somewhat convoluted as Wired explains). The gist of the situation is that Ferrari will either need to continue limiting the number of vehicles it sells each year - a move that's certain to upset shareholders and irk its boss, Sergio Marchionne - or radically improve the fuel economy of its cars at the risk of performance. Rock, meet hard place.
