You are bidding on a Red 2003 Ferrari Spider with F1 transmission. Car was fully serviced at 12,000 miles (see picture of repair order) as follows: 1. Full timing belt service. 2. Brake Flush and new brake fluid. 3. Coolant flush and replacement. 4. Oil change. 5. Convertible top serviced. 6. New front and rear brake pads. Tires have less than 3,000 miles and were replaced with original Pirellis (see picture of invoice). No bargain basement tires here. This ferrari is in outstanding condition and one of the finest 360s in circulation. The color combination is striking, When looking for a Ferrari as a buyer I look for the following: 1. Red (A ferrari has to be red). A Red Ferrari has the best resale value. 2. Daytona seats (inserts a big plus). 3. Modular wheels. 4. challenge grilles/grids front and rear and 5. Scuderia Ferrari Shields from the factory, not after market stick ons. Way to tell is the factory fenders are indented to accept the shields. This Ferrari has all the above options and more including: Red brake calipers, six CD changer, power seats (both), leather rear shelf/door mold, high power Hi-Fi with subwoofer, and all stiching in color. With this Ferrari included is also the luggage set and garment bag which you don't see very often. The only thing that is not included as shown on the window sticker is the battery (trickle) charger. However, the prewiring is there as shown on sticker. This car stickered at $201,294 (see picture). If you have been looking for a Ferrari and don't want to worry about maintenance for a long while, look no further. All you need to do with this car is to start it up and Go!!! As many have learned when it comes to exotics a "cheap deal" usually turns out to be the most expensive one. With the first repair, you'll wish you had purchased the more expensive, well maintained car. The car does have some chips, one small scratch (see picture) and a scrape underneath the front (most sports cars have this) from driveways. I have chosen not to repair it as depending where the new buyer lives it may not be feasable to repair as it will happen again, plus it's under the car. Another thing to keep in mind when shopping for a 360, is to make sure the taillights are not bubbled. If so, it means that there was alot of heat (engine) under the hood and that being the case I would take my money elsewhere. The taillights on this ferrari are as straight as when they left the factory. The Tubi exhaust (a must on a 360) was installed by Ferrari & Maserati of Orange County (see picture). A clutch snap was performed at 12,058 miles by Scottdale Ferrari-Maserati-Aston Martin which showed wear to be at 27.5%. This of course meant that the clutch is 72.5% good. With this car driven easy I can't see the wear being that much different. So in summary, this car has been maintained from day one and is well documented (see pics). If you can find a Red 360 as maintained as this one for cheaper, buy it!! I am not interested in any trades except a 2012 SLS with the right options (carbor fiber in and out, B&O, AMG performance Suspension). I will email additional requested pictures to serious buyers, but please do not lowball me as the sale of this car is not a must. I will take the car a reasonable distance for a PPI to a reputable Exotic car dealership (preferably Ferrari) or a reputable Independent specializing in Ferraris. I will not take it to your neighborhood mechanic. Good luck bidding.

Ferrari embroiled in legal battle over 21-year-old's Facebook page
Fri, 28 Mar 2014Ferrari is facing a court battle in Switzerland due to alleged copyright infringement over taking over a Facebook fan site. If the suit is successful, it could cost the company millions and harm its reputation on social media.
Sammy Wassem started the Facebook fan page for Ferrari when he was 15 and eventually grew it to over 500,000 followers. In 2009, the company congratulated the him on the site's success, but said that "legal issues" forced it to take over the administration, according to Automotive News Europe. Wassem could still use the site, but managers had oversight.
Wassem asked Ferrari for financial compensation to keep working on the page but continued creating content on it for the next four years. Eventually, the company terminated his administration rights, and In 2013, the he and his father Olivier filed the lawsuit against the business alleging it owes payment over 5,500 hours of work and copyright infringement for taking over the page. They are asking for 10 million Swiss francs ($11.3 million).
$11.55 million 1964 Ferrari 250 LM highlights RM Auctions' first night in Monterey
Sat, 16 Aug 2014Some of the biggest auto auctions of the year are held during the weekend of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Millionaires gather in hopes of outbidding their contemporaries for incredibly rare cars. As Bonhams' record sale on Thursday of a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO for $38 million showed, these days the world's most expensive vehicles are found at auctions, often with a prancing horse on the nose.
RM Auctions' Friday sale reinforced this even more when a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM topped the evening by bringing in $11.55 million, after the 10 percent commission. It wasn't the only million-dollar vehicle of the event, though. A 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype garnered $6.93 million, and a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 brought $1.705 million. Even a classic 1948 Tucker 48 had a final price of $1.57 million.
Surprisingly, some rather new cars actually brought in quite big money, too. A 2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Vitesse Le Ciel Californien sold for $2.42 million, and a 2006 Ford GT with just 13 miles sold for $407,000.
Ferrari planning 458 Speciale Spider?
Wed, 25 Jun 2014The Ferrari 458 comes from a long line of mid-engined V8 supercars to roll out of Maranello, from the 348 and F355 to the 360 and F430. Each has also bred a Spider version, and starting with the 360 Challenge Stradale (through the 430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale), a hardcore performance version. But combining the best attributes of Spider and performance model is relatively new territory for Ferrari, one which it attempted only with the limited-production Scuderia Spider 16M. And if the latest rumors are to be believed, it's about to go at it again.
Though we can't verify its sources, 4WheelsNews says it has double confirmation from within Ferrari that a 458 Speciale Spider is in the works. When reached for confirmation, Ferrari refused to comment, as it typically does on the prospect of new models yet to be announced. Given the precedent of the Scuderia Spider 16M, it would seem to make sense, but for the time being we'll have to chalk this one up as a rumor.
If it were built, the Ferrari 458 Scuderia Spider (or whatever it would ultimately be called) would take the best of the 458 Spider and 458 Speciale to pack the 600-horsepower version of Maranello's sweet-revving 4.5-liter V8 underneath a folding hardtop. The latter is something the 16M did not offer, but crucially, the new McLaren 650S Spider does. We'd also expect only a limited number to be produced at a suitable premium over the Spider's $257k MSRP and the Speciale's $288k sticker.
