We are a vehicle export company, located in the heart of Daytona Beach, Florida , USA, Racing Capital;-). We acquired this Ferrari from a client who had an overdue pending/delinquent payment owed to us.

It was supposed to have been exported to Brazil two years ago. The car has since been parked in our warehouse for almost 2 years.

Once we took possession of the vehicle, we sent it over to our mechanic (who is NOT a Ferrari expert) and he told us we would have to spend between $5,000.00 to $15,000.00 for timing belt service etc... It's crazy. For that reason we were thinking to swap the original engine for something more modern, faster, etc. That classic Ferrari body with a Corvette LS Serie or a Hayabusa turbo engine… this would make it a good option for the South American track-day market…Believe or not.

I know it's a Ferrari, but its original engine isn't exactly the most up-to-date in "fast technology". Definitely not.... lol...

To sell this car in parts would be the best option to receive the most money out of it. But unfortunately we don't have time for that. We are located in Florida, but we don't work with car sales in the USA market, especially parts wise.

To sell the car in a whole is not the best option for us money-wise, but it is a whole lot easier.

Maybe this would be ideal for someone with connections for cheaper service... or even to sell as/for parts.

We don't know the exact cost of service needed for the timing belt. Could be anywhere from 5, 10 or 15 thousand…

If the car is not sold in this auction, we will go back to our crazy "affordable Ferrari" race car project.....When life gives you lemons…you get it.

The car has a very nice solid body, with all original parts including the 04 wheels, central console controls, Top, ID tags, etc…

There are zero feedback "buyers" with no intentions of actually making a purchase; probably someone selling a similar car who wants to take mine off the market so there is less competition.

On another note: please read the ad carefully. The car needs to have the timing belt done. It is not fully drivable.

Also, please note the car is 30 years old and has been sitting for 2 years.

The key turns, it starts up badly but surely, but will cut off eventually and can be started again.

When I accelerate, I hear a fluttering noise.

Feels like a Engine misfire. It sounds like an incomplete combustion in the engine cylinder.

*No problems with Gears, Clutch(transmission), Brakes.

*No problems with window motors, radio, headlight motors, ac(not sure)

*The car has never been in a wreck and the previous owner said the paint is original. I don't know how to verify if it's true or not but it looks good.

These are two Ferrari design studies that led to the LaFerrari

Ferrari apparently worked through nine design concepts for its LaFerrari supercar recently shown at the Geneva Motor Show, and has put two of them on display at its museum in Maranello, Italy. Both from 2011, the Manta (pictured) is harder edged and looks closest to the finished product.
The other, the Tensostruttura, is much more fluid and looks like it probably came from the past or the future, not so much the present. You can check them both out in the videos below and register your take on what might have been.

Ferrari F150 Enzo-successor takes some loud laps at Fiorano

From recent spy shots to leaked information, we're starting to get a good idea about just how amazing the unnamed successor to the Ferrari Enzo will be, but now we've finally gotten to see some video of the car testing at the Fiorano Circuit in Italy. This video not only gives us an earful of the car's screaming engine and rumbling exhaust note, it also affords us a view of the car without its fish-face camouflage that it has been caught wearing recently.
The video shows the new supercar testing around the 12-turn, 1.877-mile track with an Enzo, and it is interesting to hear the differences between the 651-horsepower Enzo and its reportedly 950-hp hybrid successor. LaFerrari design secrets explored at Ferrari museum

For every finished vehicle design we see, there are probably hundreds of drawings and models that have long since been discarded. Housed in its own room inside the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, the LaFerrari has a unique exhibit that shows off some of the car's design evolution, and Autocar caught up with Ferrari design director Flavio Manzoni for an even deeper look at what went into creating this hybrid supercar.
In addition to the final product, the LaFerrari exhibit also reveals some of the designs that didn't make the cut - two of which made it to the full-size scale model phase, though. The display shows off five different designs (three from Ferrari and two from Pininfarina) that were in the running to become the final LaFerrari.
The interview with Manzoni even adds in some juicy bits of info, including news that one of the potential LaFerrari designs has been locked away and could resurface as a special, one-off model. Manzoni gets in a couple of good quotes while voicing his opposition of the current retro design language currently being used by some automakers, as well. Check it all out in the video below.
