1985 Ferrari 308 Gts Quattrovalvole on 2040-cars
Canyon Country, California, United States
For more details email me at: brockbppilla@uk6.net .
I purchased this Ferrari 308 GTS in 2006 with 44,803 on the odometer. Over ten years, I have been mechanically
"sorting out” the vehicle, while only recording 5,717 miles (current mileage 50,520). The vehicle’s mechanical
records are solid from mid-90s to current. Since my purchase, this vehicle has been well maintained with services
at regular intervals.
The rosso corsa (red) exterior is in excellent condition along with the tan original leather interior, which is in
good condition for the age of the car. All lights, switches, and gauges function correctly. An aftermarket CD
player was installed by previous owner.
The timing belt service along with water pump replacement was completed 600 miles ago. Other recent mechanical work
completed within the last couple years: Replacement of catalytic converter (recently), throttle switch, A/C
compressor, clutch assembly & resurface flywheel (600 miles ago), upgrade fuel injectors and seals, replace coolant
expansion tank, reseal cam covers, replace spark plugs and multiple fluid changes.
This is a very original car with no modifications and stored under a cover in a climate controlled garage.....has
never seen rain. If there are any further questions about the condition of the vehicle, do not hesitate to ask.

Amazing LaFerrari tribute watch more intricate than the real thing [w/video]
Fri, 26 Apr 2013The Enzo had no companion watch, but its successor, the Ferrari LaFerrari, does. Created by Hublot "entirely in parallel with the car" and "alongside the Ferrari teams," the MP-05 LaFerrari tribute watch is a similar test of how much gobsmacking gadgetry can be packed into a chassis. The manually-wound watch has 11 barrels set in a spine down the center that work together to provide a 50-day power reserve. So yes, it does need to be wound, but only once every seven weeks.
Hublot says the movement, engineered in-house, has 637 components. It has more pieces than any other movement Hublot has ever designed, and it gets a tourbillon to further showcase the "demonstration of watchmaking virtuosity." The face is sapphire crystal, the case is black PVD titanium and features an open case-back, the strap is rubber with a PVD titanium buckle. Time is told via the barrels to the right of the the spine on the right - it's 10:05 on the watch above. To the left are the barrels displaying the amount of power remaining.
Hublot hasn't disclosed the price, so you know what that means. There will be 50 tribute watches made, each sent in a presentation case wrapped in Schedoni leather and carbon fibre and including the miniature power tool you need to wind the timepiece. You can read all about it in the press release below, and for true watch geeks there's also an in-depth wrists-on video of the MP-05, performed by ABlogtoWatch.com.
Apple announces CarPlay in-car iPhone interface
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Apple, maker of tech items like the iPhone, iPad and Mac line of computers, is extending its reach into the automotive market, making a fairly big announcement ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. No, it hasn't bought Tesla (yet). Instead, Apple has announced CarPlay, an all-new means of controlling an iPhone through your car.
Now, this doesn't strike us as some gimmicky thing. It's become increasingly common for automakers to take advantage of the high-speed data streams its customers enjoy on their smartphones in order to integrate navigation, traffic, audio and other infotainment items into a car's touchscreen interface. The Chevrolet Spark and Sonic are two prime examples of this move, using an iPhone's data stream for Siri integration and data for a third-party navigation app.
Owners will be able to plug in their iPhones to their cars via the USB port and gain control of a number of the device's functions, all through a car's touchscreen.
Ferrari to offer 458 examples of new Speciale Spider
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Talk about first-world, one-percenter problems: you want to get a new Ferrari, you've even settled on the 458, but you can't decide between the Spider and the Speciale. It's a tough call, we know. But your pain will be over soon, if the latest rumors are to be believed.
Those rumors have it that, at an exclusive preview event for select customers at Pebble Beach this past weekend, Ferrari showed off a new 458 variant that combines the best attributes of the 458 Spider (namely its folding hardtop) with those of the 458 Speciale (those being its 600-horsepower engine and other go-fast bits).
Succeeding the similarly exclusive, best-of-both-worlds, F430-based 16M Scuderia Spider, the new 458 Speciale Spider (or whatever it's ultimately called) is said to be limited to 458 examples worldwide, and is expected to be unveiled to the public at the Paris Motor Show this coming October.
