Up for Sale is my 700HP Dodge Viper Convertible.  This car has been lovingly taken care and upgraded.  By the title, it says a lot…700hp.  With a dyno sheet to prove the results, this car won’t disappoint.  Simply put, this is just as reliable as when it rolled off the showroom, but with more horsepower (and quickness) than even the new 2015 Viper has.  Unlike the new
Viper that you can’t get in a convertible, this gives you the best of both worlds…upgraded power and technology in a format that not only surpasses the new Viper, but isn’t even available yet top down.  At this point, I am pricing this for a quick sale so I can move onto the next toy in my life.  My prior Viper I put almost 100k miles on and the new owner is still driving it and putting more miles on it with no issue!  This car is just a reliable and I have done everything to make sure that I could drive it coast to coast with no problem and with comfort of things like navigation, hands free phone and audio, etc.  I have LOTS of references that can speak on behalf of the car and my care for this car…as well as the shop that has done all the work for me.  I promise you won’t be disappointed with this reliable head turner…on the street or the track.  Do your research and you will see that the options that are on this car and the power that it makes places this car WELL under market value.  The power is reliable natural aspiration, not the sensitive turbo or supercharger route.  This car was designed to be super quick and yet reliable enough you could drive it every day to the office.  This car was built in mind to eventually go to the Texas Mile to run in the 200mph+ class…but never got around to going.  This car will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds!!!!  Once again, try to find another exotic car with all this power and upgrades for the same price…you won’t!

Below is a list of the features of this rare car (all done within the last few thousand miles.

-       Tuned and modified to 700hp crank power, throttle body, tune, cam, heads exhaust etc.

-       Fully adjustable coil over suspension (currently lowered and setup for street use).

-       Upgraded hardened 3:55 differential gears.

-       Complete ceramic tint (blocks out almost ALL heat while driving).

-       Upgraded Viper Side polished side sill plates.

-       Upgraded carbon fiber interior accent handles, gauges, etc.

-       Full upgraded navigation.

-       Hands free Audio through blue tooth.

-       DVD option with playing while moving enabled.

-       MP3 CD Player.

-       Hands free phone answering.

-       Satellite radio.

-       Upgraded speakers and amplifier to provide what has been described by many locals as the ‘best sounding Viper convertible I’ve ever heard’.

-       Front parking sensors.

-       Wired for radar detector.

-       Upgraded black badging throughout body of car.

-       Upgraded big brake kit from Brembo for even stronger stopping power.

-       Upgraded Gen4 6 spoke wheels and tires (with plenty of tread for another 12+thousand miles.

-       One touch power windows.

-       Alarm system.

-       Power adjustable pedals.

-       Rear defroster.

-       HID headlights.

-       Tire pressure sensors.

If you have ANY questions please ask. And don’t buy this car if you can’t handle it, it is a very, very fast car.

Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. You can check out the ads titled First Scratch, Birdhouse Police Garage Door and Voice Touching below, along with the brand's release about the new ads. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.

While these are some of our favorites, Mopar is bringing plenty to SEMA, so let us know your top choices in the comments section.

Why the Charger Hellcat can't be ordered with a manual transmission

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Fans of truly irreverent amounts of horsepower will find lots to love in the form of the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Both of them send 707 ridiculous horsepower to the rear wheels; the only question is whether you want your absurdity delivered with two or four doors. Oh, and whether or not you want the option of a manual transmission.
If you prefer rowing your own gears, the choice is made for you; there is no manual gearbox option available on the Charger Hellcat, or any Charger model at all, for that matter. Wonder why? Well, besides the fact that almost nobody - sorry, clutch fans, but it's true - would choose to buy a Charger with a manual transmission, that is? The answer, according to an industry insider in a post written on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum, is the floorpan.
It's probably not a surprise to most of our readers that the Dodge Challenger and Charger share a large portion of their chassis structure, which is codenamed LX at Chrysler, but there are still some significant differences under the skin due to the shorter wheelbase and two-door coupe bodyshell of the Challenger, as opposed to the sedan shape of the Charger. One of the differences is the floorpan, the huge chunk of sheetmetal that makes up the floor of the car and props up such essential items as the car's seats.
