Up for sale is my low mileage 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe. I bought the car with 2.5k miles and it now has 5.8k miles.  I am selling because I just don't drive it enough to justify keeping it in the garage. I recently had the car professionally detailed so there are no swirls in the paint. You can see the shine in the pictures. This car turns heads everywhere you go.

The car is like new with tasteful mods:

- Vipair Coilovers (installed 200 miles ago so like brand new)(the original coilovers come with the car if you would like to return to stock)
- Roe Racing 3" midpipes with high flow race cats (installed 500 miles ago)(stock catted 2.5" midpipes come with the car if you would like to return to stock)
- Custom Magnaflow exhaust to give it a little more rumble (installed 500 miles ago) (zero drone and not loud, also comes with the factory system if you would like to put it back to stock)
- Custom powder-coated SRT 5 spokes (Done 200 miles ago so like brand new)(3 stage powdercoat, gloss black with silver Viper logos and silver pinstripe, then cleared over)
- MGW First Strike shift knob (installed 500 miles ago)(the stock knob will come with the car if you would like to return to stock)
- MGW billet cupholder trim ring (installed 500 miles ago)
- Custom painted center console and gauge surround (painted 500 miles ago)(gloss black to match exterior of car)
- UV LED gauge backlighting (installed 500 miles ago)(the stock bulbs come with the car if you would like to return to stock)

Oil was changed at 2.5k and at 5.5k miles with Mobil 1 0W40.  After the coilover installation (200 miles ago), I had the car professionally aligned at a Viper dealership (Roanoke Motors).  While there I had them check out the car and they verified a clean bill of health, so bid with confidence!

Dodge Challenger returns to Trans Am

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

NASCAR's Nationwide Series may have switched (in appearance anyway) to muscle cars, but American racing fans know that if they want to see real muscle cars on the street circuits, the only place to look is Trans Am. The all-American racing series is packed with Mustangs, Camaros and even Corvettes. The one thing it's been missing is the Dodge Challenger, but now SRT Motorsports has announced it's bringing its muscle car back where it belongs.
Rather than waiting until next year, the Miller Racing team is switching mid-season to the new Dodge Challenger SRT Trans Am racer you see here, just in time for this weekend's race at Mid-Ohio. And not just that - it's lined up a compelling pair of drivers to pilot it, as well.
The No. 11 car will be driven by Trans Am legend Tommy Kendall, a four-time series champion who's been off the grid since 2004. Backing him up in the No. 1 Challenger will be none other than Cameron Lawrence, the driver who has won five out of six races in the Chevy Camaro so far this season, losing out only once to American racing scion Adam Andretti.

2015 Dodge Challenger looks fresh, still plenty retro [w/video]

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

It was the Ford Mustang that kicked off the retro-styled muscle car renaissance back in 2005, but it was the Dodge Challenger that served as the movement's poster child, with its unabashedly retro looks. Over the years, though, as the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro were freshened and upgraded, the look of the big Dodge has remained largely consistent since its 2008 debut. For 2015, the Challenger has received a big freshening, boasting strongly revised front and rear ends and (finally, finally, finally) a redesigned interior.
Let's talk about that new cabin first. It's basically been plucked directly from the redesigned Charger, and boasts the same seven-inch IP display. The center stack's miserable, last-gen display has been replaced by an expansive, 8.4-inch UConnect system. Material quality should see a solid boost with the new cabin, as well.
The exterior, meanwhile, sees a revised front fascia with LED halo lights, as well as new grille inserts. A functional shaker hood scoop is a must-have extra on the V8 models, while the back of the car is highlighted by a new set of LED taillights that don't use the "Racetrack" design of Dodge's other models.

Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
