Up for sale is a 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 with 36,823 miles (mileage may vary slightly). This is a NO RESERVE auction, so the highest bidder at the end will own the car. This has been an absolute great car to cruise around in and go to various car shows. I have owned the car for almost a year and I am ready to buy a new viper but need to sell this one first. I have included a lot of pictures below so you can look the car over for yourself. The car is located in Thomasville, NC, if a potential buyer is close by and would like to look at the car before the auction end you are more than welcome. I have very flexible work hours and can meet at a prearranged day and time. Note that due to the amount of power that this car has, NO test drives will be allowed until the car has been paid for in full. If you are interested in the car feel free to make an offer.
The car has some slight tasteful modifications completed. It has: Corsa Exhaust System Red Racing Stripes from front to back New ACR Viper wheels coated Black from the factory with Nitto Invo tires Red Viper Calipers Red VIPER/SRT-10/DODGE Badges all around Red ACR shift knob with new shift boot containing red stitching. Included with the car are many Dodge Viper Promotional items, the original shifter and shift boot. The sun visors also come with the car, I removed them because I felt the car looks better without them when the top is down. The Viper comes with the custom California Car Cover seen in the picture. Also included is a complete set of original 2003 DODGE Viper Service Manual, Power Diagnostic Procedures Manual, Chasis Diagnostic Procedures Manual, and Body Diagnostic Procedures Manual This is one of the nicest Vipers for the asking price that you will find anywhere. I just had a fresh oil change completed (4 days ago) with Mobil1 oil and filter. The car has been sitting in a climate controlled garage during the winter with a car cover on it. It has never been driven in the rain. It runs perfectly and all features work just as they should. Feel free to ask any and all questions that you may have, I will respond as soon as possible. Chrysler investigating complaints of vehicles with faulty power modules
Sun, 24 Aug 2014Chrysler owners are hopping mad after experiencing a series of electrical gremlins in some of the company's vehicles. Issues range from mere annoyances - windows rolling down and radios turning off of their own accord - to serious safety issues, with headlights that randomly shut off at night and cars that stall and refuse to start.
The issues are being blamed on the total integrated power module, which can cost up to $1,000 for customers to replace. This, of course, has led to a hefty batch of complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with 240 owners expressing their displeasure so far. Another site, CarComplaints.com, has registered over 300 complaints relating to the 2010 to 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, alone, according to The New York Times.
Chrysler has acknowledged that it's investigating the complaints and is analyzing the faulty TIPMs, but that isn't quite enough for customers of the affected vehicles. The newspaper has snagged a few of the more harrowing tales with the electrically challenged Chrysler products, culled from the NHTSA complaints.
Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots
Wed, 06 Aug 2014Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.
NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.
