I purchased this truck from a friend last year to use the drive train in a project truck. After purchasing and driving the truck for about eight months I found out it wasn't as easy to use the drive train out of this truck as I originally thought. So this truck is up for sale for what I have in it.
To my knowledge this has been a local truck for a long time. The previous owner is a mechanic and did a lot of work to the truck which includes; -Fully built Suncoast transmission -Triple disc converter -Reupholstered seats and center console -New head liner -Aftermarket stereo system -Bilstein shocks -Tinted windows -New A/C compressor -Leveling kit -Steering stabilizer bar After purchasing the truck I put the wheels and tires on. The truck has ice cold A/C, and fresh oil in the motor and transmission. The truck looks awesome from about ten feet away. As you get closer there's quite a few scratches and some dents mainly on the upper bed rails and tail gate (I've tried to show this in the pictures). The rear bumper is also rusted pretty bad like most Dodge trucks. The truck has 3.55 gears so it cruises great down the road. This truck gets a lot of looks as there's not too many red single cab 4x4 Cummins trucks around. The truck currently has 181k miles. 2013 Dodge Dart gets brace of new special edition models
Thu, 16 May 2013After almost a year on the market it, it is becoming more clear to Dodge how customers like to option out their Darts, so the automaker has combined popular features into three special edition packages and sweetened the prices. Start with a standard 2013 Dart and add either the SXT or Limited "Special Editions" or Rallye Appearance Group, and you'll save yourself a lot of box checking.
The $595 Dart SXT Special Edition takes the trim just above the base model and adds a new grille, dark-tinted headlights and projector fog lights, LED racetrack taillights, cruise control and audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited Special Edition starts with the top-end model and adds a power sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and Nappa leather seats among other features, for $1,810.
The Rallye Appearance Group (pictured) is a package for the SXT, and it blacks out the front fascia, throws on 17-inch wheels and some badging for $395. The new special editions are reaching dealers now and could help the Dart's sales to further improve after a slow start. You can find out more about them in the press release below.
NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged
Fri, 23 May 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.
