Hi, I'm selling my ram GTX limited edition. To make a long story short, in 2004 Dodge commissioned LA customs to modify a limited number of rams to revive the GTX moniker -- originally applied to morph the 1967 Belvedere into "the gentleman's hot rod. They customized 900 rams, and only 7 double cab in sublime green, so this 1 of 7. They were treated to a new bodykit, a tonneau cover, a blacked-out cowl hood, a two-tone leather interior, bespoke floor mats and stitching, a color-matched steering wheel, "HemiGTX" hockey-stick stickers reminiscent of the original GTX's, a new exhaust system from Pacesetter, 20-inch, chrome American Racing Motto wheels and a new DuPont paint job in original high-impact Mopar colors like Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy Purple, Banana Yellow and Sublime Green

With that being said the truck is extremely sound, no issues whatsoever, has an air ride suspension in the back to help with loading, 7 inch dvd. etc

Has some scratches and the clear coat on the hood has peeled some, check engine light is on due to an aftermarket air filter (i have the original air filter assembly, as well as the original shocks)

Think of it as getting a 5.7-liter Hemi Ram with about $10,000 in custom parts and paint for free.

I tried to take pictures and be a descriptive as possible, but please understand this is a used car and has blemishes. if you have any questions or require more pictures. let me know. Thanks

Thanks for your time

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

Dodge Viper recall requires small-handed mechanics

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It has been over a year since Chrysler first announced its recall of 3,660 2003-2004 Dodge Vipers because the airbag could suddenly deploy. The repairs are finally beginning, and it appears to be a nightmare for mechanics.
According to the automaker's filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag control module can fail, which causes the bag or the seatbelt pre-tensioner to deploy without warning. It took over a year to design the new parts, according to The New York Times. However, Chrysler finally has a new "jumper harness with an in-line diode filter circuit" ready to fix the problem.
The dilemma now moves to the mechanics who have to actually install the part. A 47-step guide from Chrysler explains that the procedure should take about two hours. It's not an easy job, though. Most of the dashboard has to be taken apart, and the instructions include this helpful bit of advice: "Installing the jumper harness and filter box into position is not an easy task. Patience, perseverance, and small hands are required." We wish the best of luck to them. The fix comes just in time for the Vipers to enjoy the summer sun.

SRT back to Dodge, Dart SRT, new Challenger, Charger and Caravan's death outlined in 5-yr plan

Tue, 06 May 2014

The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
