2011 - Ram 1500 on 2040-cars

Hello, Thank you for looking at my listing of my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 4.7L SLT Crew Cab with only 32,000 miles. The truck is in great conditions inside and out, still smells like brand new, ( inside floor is a little bit dirty because a bad snow storm) and the paint is in excellent conditions. GARAGE KEEPT. I bought this truck from an Insurance Auction, with very minor damages (fur in the front, so probably some kind of animal accident) NO FRAME, NO COOLING SYSTEM, NO DRIVETRAIN, NO SOSPENSION DAMAGES, OR AIRBAG DEPLOY. The only parts that were changed was the front bumper and the hood and the left fender. THIS WAS ALL FIXED WITH ORIGINAL AND GENUINE DODGE PARTS (from which I have all the recipes). THE DAMAGE WAS SO MINOR, THAT DMV ISSUED A 'REPAIRED' TITLE RATHER THAN A 'REBUILT'. You can register the truck in any states with no problem. The truck drives straight and tight, and the motor sounds excellent with a smooth transition. The truck has a switch on the fly for 4WD, which means you can engage 4WD just by turning a switch. The tires still have 60-70% left on of tread. KBB and NADA value is around $28K. Asking $21K localy I`m selling the truck because I don`t need it anymore. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged
Fri, 23 May 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.
