1979 Dodge Powerwagon W150 Custom short bed 318 with 727 trans.  Metal has been replaced about 15 years ago.  Body and frame in sound condition, no rust, but needs a quality paint job.  Had a engine fire back from cracked carb in 2000, hence I had to replace the cab with 1992 cab and grill.  Have the both titles for 79 and 92 along with the 92 318 motor and wire harness to include with sale in case you wish to go MPI fuel injected.

Has sunroof, tubular bumpers, nerf bars, stainless sunvisor hitch receivers (front and rear), 318 in truck was bored 30 over and is built close to 340 specs (has oil leak that needs fixing) ansd has aluminum valve covers and weiland intake with edelbrock 4 barrel, MSDS ingition.  Was spec'd ~ 300hp.  Bed liner, show bar, Aluminum rims 15x10 with 32x11.5 tires, also include set of 35x12.50 on steel black nugget ARE chrome center (rims good tires are beaters), had a body lift for the 35s (will include but currently removed).  Dual exhaust with headers in fair shape but needs patching at tail pipes.

Modifed steering assembly, also have set a bushwacker fender flares for rear (front were heat damaged).  Have spare trans parts and extra steering box.  Equipped with AC from 79 but will also include all A/C compentents from the 92 donor.

Cab is a 2 wheel drive so 4x4 shifter opening needs to be cut into floor.  Headliner fabric needed.  Fuel tank from 92 and needs plumbing for 79 but ready for 92 fuel injection.

This is a project truck that needs to be towed.  I have limited space and I need to make room.  Do not want to sell, but money talks.

MUST BE TOWED.  HAS NOT BEEN REGISTERED IN OVER 10 YEARS.

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love with this car. It was starting down a nearly straight entrance ramp at 15 miles per hour when I buried the throttle. In a moment, I was thrown back into my seat as the big SRT8's engine came to life with commensurate sound, fury and force, bringing me up to 75 mph in what felt like two blinks of an eye. This thing feels so much quicker than its 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque would lead you to believe. And mashing the right pedal never, ever gets old.
But beyond sheer speed, I found a whole lot to like about the Charger SRT8 during my week with the Pitch Black test car here in Detroit. And while the whole Super Bee kit isn't really my style, it's really easy to overlook those badges for a package that offers so much for so little.

Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.
