My buddy bought this truck a few months ago in Northern California. The farmer told him that it had been in his family since bought new. It was literally in the barn untouched since 2003 (found proof of that). It is all original and has never been molested. Never has left California. The farmer thinks it's a longbed but has forgotten in the 46 years since purchase.

When we picked the truck up - it literally started on the first turn. It needed the choke to warm up but ran great without any issues. It didn't stop real well on the way home, so we took it immediately to a specialty brake shop in San Francisco.

They replaced all the brake shoes (front and rear)
Replaced front wheel cylinders
Resurfaced drums
While they were there they also put on a new muffler!

Now the truck stops great (for all drum brakes) and sounds great...

This is a great example of the Dodge D100 built during the golden year (1967) of Dodge Trucks! This was a monster in the 60's pickup era - big power, big torque!

This is a very rare chance to actually purchase a "barn find" rare pickup. It literally still has hay in the front seat. We have not cleaned or touched anything other than getting it running and stopping safely - both of which it does wonderfully.

My buddy has been shipped overseas and just wants to pass the truck on to someone who will restore it to it's once great stature. We are selling it NO RESERVE - good luck!

It is being sold "as is" with no warranties expressed or implied. I require a $750 deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction by the winning bidder with balance due in 7 days from the auction end. I will be happy to assist with shipping in any way I can but shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets 22 mpg

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

With its crazy 707 horsepower on tap and roughly $60,000 starting price, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been one of the most talked about cars of the summer, maybe even the year. However, there's always been one lingering question about the behemoth that Dodge has waited to answer until now - its fuel economy. The EPA ratings for the muscle car are finally out, and the numbers are actually pretty impressive for a vehicle with this much power.
A 2015 Challenger Hellcat with the eight-speed automatic is rated at 22 miles per gallon highway, 13 mpg city and 16 mpg combined. Opting for the six-speed manual drops those figures to 21 mpg highway, 13 mpg city and 16 mpg combined.
"As the fastest muscle car ever, the Challenger Hellcat can run 10-second ETs [elapsed times] at the track, and then get 22 miles per gallon on the drive home. With a starting price of $59,995, there's nothing else that even comes close," said Dodge and SRT President Tim Kuniskis in the company's release.

Ranking Dodge's Charger Hellcat with the fastest sedans in the world

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

"This is a car that most brands would never bring to market." - Tim Kuniskis
Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis had reason to be confident, perhaps even a bit cocky at the reveal of his brand's newest halo car, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. As he said simply, it's the "quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world."

Dodge idles Viper production again at Conner Avenue

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

You've got to hand it to Dodge for having the gumption to put the original Viper into production in the first place. It was, after all, much more of an emotional decision than a practical one, and a move which saw the first production V10 engine placed in a road car - long before the advent of the Lamborghini Gallardo, Audi R8, Porsche Carrera GT or Lexus LFA, not to mention the other Ford, BMW and Volkswagen Group models that used such engines.
It's now been 22 years since the first Viper entered production and the Viper still rolls on several generations later, but we're sad to say that courageous decision has not always been met with overwhelming sales success. In fact parent Chrysler was forced to idle the Conner Avenue plant where the Viper is made back in April due to slow sales. And while production resumed again as planned on June 23, it apparently didn't do the trick.
As a result, Chrysler corporate communications chief Shawn Morgan revealed to Autoblog that the assembly line has been shut down again for another two weeks. The line was up and running for nearly two full work weeks from June 23 until the holiday weekend that started on Thursday, July 3. But instead of coming back online today as planned, it's been idled again for the weeks of July 7 and 14. That means it will be July 21, at the earliest, before the serpentine supercars start slithering down the assembly line at Conner Avenue again. Once it does, however, production is set to resume at the same pace it was before the shutdown.
