This is an opportunity to own an extremely rare compact pickup truck which is in excellent condition. These particular trucks are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition. I purchased it from the original owner's family and it currently has 22,900 original miles on it. It took me 15 years to pursuade the family to sell it to me! There is not 1 speck of rust to be found period. The body is super straight and solid and you can take a magnet to every sq. inch and not find any bondo. 273 V8 with added four barrel, Pertronex Ignition, Flame Thrower Coil, and 3-speed manual transmission. Original Trico Wiper Arms with red buttons, 8 and 3/4 rear end with 323 gears. The gas tank was recently boiled out and recoated inside and out. New fuel sending unit, new Dual exhaust system. Some minor wear on the original seat upholstery. All glass, weatherstripping, rubber, and window felts are in excellent shape with 0 leaks anywhere. The front end was recently aligned my a Mopar Specialist and goes straight down the road without any issues. Included is an Acousticshield heat insulation kit made specifically for the A-100 doghouse. This truck attracts attention everywhere and is always a hit at every car show and cruise night that I have taken it to. People take pictures and videos constantly when I have it out on the road! I've owned many Mopars over the years and this one is the biggest conversation piece at all the shows I have attended. Please do not ask what the reserve is. Take a look at the N.A.D.A. Price Guides and determine what you can afford to pay for a vehicle of this caliber. Keep in mind the guides do not offer a percentage to add on for the V8 option or the extremely low mileage and condition of this one. I have several dealer brochures, the original owners manual, a repair manual, and other memorabilia including various die-casts including one that is autographed by Bill Maverick Golden that could be negotiated in the price if desired. Thank you and good luck! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you and good luck!

Dodge celebrates centennial with Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

In 1914, the Dodge brothers went from being a parts supplier to a full-scale automaker, and to celebrate the centennial of this milestone, Dodge will offer special editions of the 2014 Charger and Challenger early next year. Both cars will be sold in limited numbers (although no specific number was given), and these cars will stand out thanks to unique touches like 20-inch wheels, 100th anniversary edition logos and the exclusive High Octane Red Pearl Coat paint job (shown above).
The 100th Anniversary Edition package, which runs $2,200 on the 2014 Charger and $2,500 on the 2014 Challenger, comes with red or black leather seats with a cloud print (for a denim-like look) and metal badges on the seatbacks that read "Dodge Est. 1914," while similar logos are also found on the wheel center caps and front fenders. The instrument gauges are unique to each car, with the Charger getting black gauges and the Challenger getting white gauges, and to enunciate the 100-year anniversary, both cars have red numerals on the speedometer for the 100-mile-per-hour mark.
Finishing off the 100th Anniversary Edition cars, which will be offered on V6 and R/T models, Dodge adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and embroidered floor mats as a part of the package. Scroll down for the full press release for these commemorative models.

Chop the top of your new Dodge Viper for $35,000

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

We have good news, and we have bad news. First, the good: It's now possible to get a brand-new Dodge Viper roadster, which is nice, considering we're in the dead of summer and many of us like wind-in-the-hair motoring. Now, the bad: This is not a factory option from the automaker, instead coming courtesy of an aftermarket company called Prefix Performance, and that means it's going to cost you some serious coin.
Called Medusa, this drop-top Viper was created without the knowledge or consent of Dodge, but that's probably fine because Prefix works with the automaker already for the final preparation of the American supercar, including paint. According to the company, the current, fifth-gen Viper was built with a convertible version in mind, so no chassis strengthening is required. From the looks of the somewhat grainy photos available, the conversion appears of very high quality.
Want one? Well, that means you're going to need to procure a Viper - Prefix has 10 units ready for transformation as it stands - and that's going to cost at the very least $102,485. Then, you'll need to write a check for an additional $35,000 for Prefix to surgically remove the car's roof. Thing is, for that kind of cash, a prospective owner could buy, among other very nice options, a Viper hardtop and a loaded Miata, or a Corvette Stingray convertible and several pockets full of change. Or, perhaps a new Viper hardtop and a used, first-gen Viper convertible?

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat in the works

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

In Autoblog's recent First Drive of the 2015 Challenger SRT with the 707-horsepower Hellcat V8 we found its engine to be as brutally powerful as the numbers would suggest, even if it wasn't the best handler. However, the muscle-car-styling just isn't right for some buyers that need four doors and proper rear seats to haul around the family. It appears that Dodge has their backs, though, because the Hellcat is very likely on its way into the Charger in the near future. Imagine the looks on your passengers' faces when you stomp down on the throttle.
According to Road and Track, when Dodge submitted the Hellcat for engine power certification to the Society of Automotive Engineers, the company included the Charger on the paperwork. That showed that the automaker wanted the engine checked out for the sedan, too. R&T reckons the 707-hp Charger would hit the road about a year from now, clearing the Challenger for a year of exclusivity with the powerplant.
When the Charger SRT Hellcat does hit the road, it may carry a very special accolade. Assuming nothing beats it in the meantime, it might be the world's highest horsepower production sedan. Think on that for a second. Even a Mercedes S65 AMG only has 621 horsepower, though a good bit more torque at 738 pound-feet to the Dodge's 650 lb-ft. So while the beastly engine is getting put into other models, where else would you like to see it? The Ram? Grand Cherokee? Let us know in Comments.
