1965 Dodge D-100 Town Wagon on 2040-cars

Year:1965 Mileage:123456
Location:

Bernalillo, New Mexico, United States

Bernalillo, New Mexico, United States

This noble old Town Wagon is begging to be restored to its once proud glory. It may have started out as an ambulance because the original color was white and there is the remains of a roof mount for the old “cherry top” rotating red light.  There is no evidence it ever had any seats. The mileage is unknown but ebay requires a number so it's random.

The original 318 engine and automatic transmission are present but no attempt has been made to determine the condition.  Although it was the apparent victim of a drunken weekend bondo party, the body is straight, flared wheel wells intact and there is no evidence of any previous damage. There is superficial rust in several places ( see pictures). Wheel well interiors are fine and you can request pictures of them as well as detailed pictures of every tiny defect. This truck spent its entire life in the high desert of New Mexico.

It has a clear New Mexico title. We will help arrange transport and will replace the destroyed front tire with a used tire for easier loading onto transport.

Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.

2014 Dodge Durango teaser reveals new 'racetrack' taillights

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

Not wanting to let Jeep get all of the SUV attention for the 2014 model year, Dodge is unveiling a refreshed version of its Durango at the New York Auto Show. Teased in this image, all we can really tell about the 2014 Dodge Durango is that it will be getting Dodge's "racetrack" taillights similar to the Charger and Dart.
The chrome or painted strip currently between the Durango's Zorro taillamps have been removed to allow for a full-width LED array with "DODGE" lettering displayed more prominently above the license plate pocket. Parent company Chrysler also promises that the updated Durango will add "several new class-exclusive features," but stops short of saying what those are. Earlier reports suggest that among the changes, buyers will be able to look forward to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which ought to improve the three-row SUV's fuel efficiency.

Mopar rolls out new Scat Packages for Dodge Challenger, Charger and Dart

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Dodge buyers looking for that extra performance edge, take note: Mopar is bringing back the Scat Pack. Announced at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas today, the new Scat Packages will be available in three stages for the Challenger, Charger and Dart starting next spring.
Upgrades for the Charger and Challenger equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine include a
new cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust, as well as a remapped ECU. Upgrade to the Scat Package 2 and you get a new camshaft, and the Scat Package 3 tosses in ported and polished heads and hi-flow headers. Upgrades for the Dart GT with the smaller 2.4-liter, four-cylinder Tigershark engine with six-speed manual transmission start with a cold-air intake, short-throw shifter and upgraded brakes. The second stage kicks in a remapped ECU and cat-back exhaust, while the Scat Package 3 for the Dart gives you even bigger brakes, an adjustable suspension and sway bars front and rear.
