2006 Dodge Magnum Srt8 Wagon 4-door 6.1l....51k Miles...rare on 2040-cars
Prosperity, South Carolina, United States
I'm selling my 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 that has only 51k miles on it.
There were only 3845 SRT8 Magnum's produced from 2006-2008 and only 666
of the Inferno Red ones produced in 2006. This car came from the factory
with 425hp out of the 6.1L Hemi, and should be close to 450hp because
mine has a K&N intake system on it as well as a Magnaflo stainless
steel exhaust system on it that sounds great. The car has new Hankook
tires on the 20" factory aluminum rims, new battery, new fuel pumps, and
factory Brembo brakes with slotted rotors on all 4 corners that will
stop you on a dime. It has a factory sunroof, factory 10" Kicker
subwoofer, 6 disc cd changer with cassette/XM radio, and leather/suede
electric seats. A $500 deposit is due via PayPal within 48 hours of the auctions close. This has been my play toy that I don't drive that much,
so now's the time to let someone else enjoy it.......

NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.
Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep
Thu, 30 May 2013The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
