Original one owner 1998 Dodge Durango, fully loaded with every available option that year including third row seating, leather, rear a/c, fender flares, running boards and the 5.9 Litre 360 V-8. Vehicle was driven an average of 7500 miles a year by my wife, never off road or abused only adult driven from day one. Never smoked in and no stains, damage or tears in the leather, just below normal wear. Everything on the vehicle works except the a/c, it stopped last year and I never had it fixed because we have other vehicles to drive if it was that hot. Maintenance records are available from the service station that has take care of this Durango for the last 15 years. It has always been maintained mechanically as well as cosmetically as the photos show. The transmission was replaced at 84000 miles by Aamco transmission, that is the only major issue we ever had with the Durango. Every brake line on the vehicle was replaced this week, I have the receipt to prove that. There was one bad one, and after 15 years I told the mechanic change them all to be save. This is a great vehicle, runs strong, rides nice, terrific in the snow, and still gets attention. There are some rust spots in the usual Durango areas, tailgate, rocker panels. The doors are perfect, frame, floor boards, etc. all fine. Not a door dig in this vehicle. Paint shines great as you can see. It just passed the PA inspection and is good until 6-2014. The original carpet floor mats are in beautiful condition, (see photo) they have been covered with the rubber mats from new. This is a very good fully loaded 4WD Durango SLT at a very fair price. Please call or email with questions or concerns........Frank 570-383-7506

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.

2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat en route to dealers

Sat, 15 Nov 2014

Get ready, world: The 707-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has officially been unleashed. But rather than just have the big coupes quietly arrive at dealers, Dodge has released this video, showing Hellcats loading up onto car carriers at Fiat-Chrysler's Brampton, Ontario plant. And yes, that is Mötley Crüe's "Kickstart My Heart" playing in the background. Of course.
This really is worth all the fanfare, though, considering Dodge will sell its ridiculously powerful, supercharged machine for just $59,995. And if the Challenger isn't quite up your alley, just remember, there's an equally powerful, 204-mph, four-door Charger Hellcat on the way...
