1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 2 Door Auto Original California Hardtop No Rust on 2040-cars
San Diego, California, United States
Nice, clean, rust free 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 2 Door Hardtop. This Dart
is in fantastic condition. The bright blue paint and white interior are in near mint shape with no bubbling, fading, or signs of age on the paint. The original 225ci 6 cylinder engine has been
refreshed and upgraded with electronic ignition and an aluminum
radiator. The original automatic transmission
shifts smooth. No leaks of any kind of fluid that I have noticed. Power steering is
tight and works great. Everything works, lights/gauges etc. The brakes
were fully rebuilt and it stops perfectly. Suspension is tight. The glass
is all good. There is no rust on this Dart. The body is excellent
without dents or damage and the floors and frame are also fantastic. The tires are like new.
This is a very nice driver and it looks great right up close. There are no bondo repairs, no body damage, no dents, and all of the panels are original. This Dart has never been taken apart and it has survived the last 44 years better than most cars that old. This Dart is a southern California resident and it shows. It has no issues that I know of. Runs and drives smoothly and the exhaust is also new. The lower rear valance is included just not installed as shown. The doors, hood, and trunk open and close like new. International buyers are welcome. Comes with complete California duplicate title which is fine for export and can be registered in most states. NO California Buyers, I have parking fees due on this and cannot get a clear registration here WHICH IS WHY I HAVE TO SELL IT. If you are in a state that cannot transfer a duplicate California title I can get a regular title for you for $180 more. I took many pictures to show it well and a walk around video. $500 deposit due right after the auction ends. I will be available 7 days a week for pickup. Located a couple miles from San Diego International Airport. |

2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport
Tue, 29 Jan 2013We won't beat around the bush: The all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger is not a brand new car. This generation launched in 2011, AWD models and all. But for 2013, Chrysler has added an optional sport package to the AWD model, available with both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the sweet, sweet 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The upgrades for this new sport pack are mainly cosmetic; a gloss black grille, new 19-inch alloy wheels and body-colored rear spoiler make up the list of exterior changes. Inside, there are new sport seats and paddle shifters, and the eight-speed automatic transmission has been reflashed for better performance.
But because vehicles like the Dodge Charger mainly stick out in our minds as being rear-drive bruisers, Chrysler wanted to give us the opportunity to test out the LX platform's foul-weather prowess. And perhaps no place more appropriate to test such a system was way up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the dead of winter.

Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.
2015 Dodge Viper getting small increase in power
Tue, 29 Jul 2014The Viper is used to being the most powerful car in the Dodge and SRT stables, but the arrival of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat means that's no longer the case. The serpentine supercar is, however, reportedly getting a small boost in output for 2015, amounting to all of five horsepower.
The increase was uncovered by Road & Track courtesy of the SAE J1349 certification process to which Detroit's Big Three automakers submit themselves and which reports the Viper's output at 645 hp instead of the 640 it was rated at until now. There are a hundred factors that could have contributed to the relatively mild boost in output (best guess? nothing at all changed...), but we doubt anyone's going to complain about some extra horses under the hood.
The five-horsepower boost brings the Viper that much closer to the 650-hp Chevy Corvette Z06, not to mention the 707-hp Hellcat, but the Viper's impressive power-to-weight ratio ought to mean it'll have little problem keeping up in a straight line - which is just one of the reasons why Chrysler won't shoe-horn the Hellcat into the Viper: as R&T points out, the supercharged engine is too heavy and the blower makes it too tall to fit in the Viper's engine bay.
