You are bidding on a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 318 poly with a console shifted automatic. Was driven by the original owners between California and new mexico up unitl 1979 when the poly 318 blew up, the couple bought a new 1979 Chrysler and the coronet received a 318 and automatic tranny out of a wrecked 1978 cordoba. My dad bought the car in 1980 and drove it in this condition for 1 year until he sold it to his buddy. His buddy painted it, put mags on it, and swapped a four speed into it. The car sat in a field from 1995 until around 3 years when we received the car back from the family of my dads buddy after his passing. We bought a motorhome 413 with less than 40,000 miles on it, put 915 heads, a lumpy cam, new double roller timing set, new water pump, new melling HV oil pump, comes with a Mallory unilite distributor with Mallory coil and brand new MSD street fire plug wires,  a deep oil pan and new gaskets/seals all the way around. It has a strong bottom end and low compression being that it was from a motor home. because of this we planned to supercharge it and make a nostalgic hot rod. 4 speed was rebuilt around 10 years ago and was never used after. The car has a cast iron bellhousing but it has a 10 1/2" clutch/flywheel. BUT we have an 11" flywheel with the car. so it needs an 11" clutch to work with the cast iron bellhousing. OR you need to buy a an aluminum bellhousing to fit the 10 1//2" clutch/flywheel. The body has 36,000 original miles on it. Car has an 8 3/4 rear end with 741 center section with 3:23 gears and a sure grip.

The car is totally rust free. It was originally pale yellow with a gold/tan interior, has the fender tag, door VIN and clear title.  Minor surface rust on the floors and trunk. Fenders/Quarters/ doors have minor dents and require body work but all the original sheetmetal should be able to be saved. Car needs the 4 speed welded into place, the airshocks punched through the floor so it needs to be welded back together. Comes with tons of extra trim, 2 extra grilles, some extra turn signals and tail light, has the factory console that was cut to fit the four speed. Engine bay was sanded down and painted with 4 stage rattle can (primer, silver metal flake base, candy apple red top coat, clear coat), looks like nice candy apple red and turned out great. Finish putting it together and make a nostalgic drag car or tear it apart and restore it! GREAT father and son project, like it was with me and my dad. We have run out of  money to finish it! Has all the seats and trim, missing one taillight surround, one rocker moulding and the trunk lip trim and maybe other misc. items.

Car may be missing more but it is 95% complete. CAR DOES NOT RUN, the shipper needs to be aware of this, car will be in roller form with NO brakes, We do not ship, we will help load the car with your arranged shipper, we will store it for 30 days after the end of the auction for free, after 30 days its $40 a month. NO refunds, returns. $500 deposit required by paypal with 24 hours of the auctions end.

2013 Dodge Durango R/T

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Not too long ago, Chevrolet got itself into some trouble by throwing the SS badge on just about everything it produced, so I've always been a little hesitant about the seemingly excessive use of the R/T nameplate on Dodge vehicles. For the 2013 model year, every model in Dodge's lineup has an R/T trim level from Dart all the way up to the Durango. Although the R/T name used to signified models made for road and track, I doubt anyone would be delusional enough to assume the Durango - and some of the other models wearing this badge - are suited for any sort of track duty.
Still, when this 2013 Dodge Durango R/T rolled up for me to drive for the week, I couldn't help but take in its big, mean and imposing stance. Sure, if I had my choice of buying any of the Dodge R/T products, the Charger and Challenger would be my top picks for sure, but it's easy to say that the Durango would be a close third - far above the R/T versions of the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

2013 Dart GT will hold us over until SRT stokes Dodge's handsome compact

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

No, this isn't quite the Dart SRT4 we've been waiting for - and still believe is coming - but as part of its 2013 Detroit Auto Show lineup, Dodge will be showing off the slightly sportier Dart GT seen here.
Building on the already well-equipped Limited model, the GT adds performance enhancements including a more powerful engine, 18-inch aluminum wheels, sport suspension calibration, unique front fascia and dual exhaust. Inside, you'll find perforated Nappa leather seats, a heated steering wheel and front seats, dual-zone climate control, remote start (if you spec the automatic transmission), Chrysler's 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a seven-inch TFT display in the gauge cluster, and a whole lot more. Optional goodies include hyper black aluminum wheels, a technology group (pushbutton start, keyless go, rain-sensing wipers, blind spot monitoring and smart-beam headlamps), power sunroof, Sirius radio, Garmin navigation, Alpine premium sound and high-intensity discharge headlamps.
Powering the Dart GT is Chrysler's 2.4-liter MultiAir2 four-cylinder engine producing 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. That grunt is sent to the front wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission, but a six-speed automatic 'box is optional.
