You’re looking at my beautiful, rare and numbered Dodge Daytona Hemi Charger. It is number 975 out of 4000 in 2006. The 385 horse power Hemi runs and sounds awesome and only has 79,500 miles. It is finished in the stunning “Go Man-Go!” orange with flat black decal package. The interior is black leather with gray accents. Everything on this car works as it should. The interior looks new and there is not a rip or tear anywhere. The exterior shines like the day she was made. It sits during the winter and has not seen much rain. It has a nice window tint package which is both functional and looks great. I am not the original owner but I do know the owner before me took very good care of this car and I have done nothing but pamper her!

This is a rear wheel drive vehicle with traction control. It has heated seats and does include the stock 18 inch rims and tires should you decide to drive her in the winter. The 20 inch wheels you see in the pictures are currently on the car and have fresh rubber. They look sick going down the road and make this car come alive.  Power everything, including the sliding sun roof. It has a truly incredible sound system including satellite radio (the satellite system is activated so you can experience how nice it is to have),  6 CD in-dash and full DVD sound through out. The rear has a flip up DVD player that can be heard by all, or just those wearing wireless head sets. Those with head sets will only hear the movie while others can listen to what ever they want at the same time. Very cool feature.

It has the Dodge Navigation system also.  It’s easy to use with the 8 way joy stick on the dash and easy to see with its big screen.

Now I know everyone always thinks their car is nicer than the rest, and I’m no different. Come take a look and I think in this case you would agree with me.

This car has it all, the right color, the right engine and the right look. It is one sweet ride. Please include a phone number along with area code when you respond. If I see any response that even hints to be spam it’s gone. Please no low ball stuff, or trades or stories. The add will be removed after a sale, so anyone who asks if it is still for sale will not get answered. I’m looking for an honest buyer with the funds to do so, and that’s it.

Thank you for the interest and I look forward to hearing from you.

Mopar '13 Dart will roll into Chicago next week

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

We think this officially counts as a tradition. Every year going back to 2010, Mopar has rolled out a limited edition version of a popular product from the Chrysler Group portfolio. First it was the Mopar '10 Challenger, then the Mopar '11 Charger, then last year's Mopar '12 300, and this year it will be the Mopar '13 Dart, which will make its official world debut next week at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show.
Limited in number to just 500 units, the Mopar '13 Dart is no mere appearance package, though the demeanor of the Dart will be murdered out with a gloss black finish, gloss black 18-inch wheels, a set of Mopar blue stripes and a mean-looking Mopar ground effects kit. Likewise, the interior is touched up with leather seats (a blue one for the driver and black hides for the passengers), gloss black and black chrome trim, blue accent stitching, a sport pedal kit and other Mopar interior accessories.
Turning our attention back to the mechanical bits, the Mopar '13 Dart comes with the car's most powerful engine, a turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir four (shared with Fiat 500 Abarth) that's paired with a manual transmission. Those big, black wheels get wrapped in low profile 225/40R18 performance tires, and keeping everything in check is an upgraded brake kit with slotted rotors. The steering has also been calibrated for performance, the suspension lowered seven millimeters, and the exhaust tuned for better engine breathing.

Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production

Sun, 28 Apr 2013

In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.

Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.
