1971 Dodge Charger R/T with the 440 Magnum option

Since the days of my Dukes of Hazzard power wheel, the Dodge Charger was my ultimate dream car, and in my opinion, has always been the flagship of all muscle cars. Unfortunately, I've got too many irons in the fire and have to let this rare find go to a new home. It is a rare optioned, 440 Magnum R/T that also has the factory air option.(although some of the AC components were missing when I purchased the car and I had not gotten around to replacing them yet) I would consider this car to be a clean example, meaning that there is virtually no rust, as this has been an Arizona car for as long as I know. Also, it appears to only have had minor work/modifications done to it over the years, meaning that it should be fully capable of returning to factory condition if desired. I have found that this is very rare in any car these days, but especially rare in a 42 year old muscle car. It is these qualities that drew me to this car and what makes this particular car such a great base to turn into the $60k+ vehicle it has the potential to be. As far as running/driving is concerned, this beast starts right up even after sitting for several months. I just put on a new Edelbrock Performer carburator, but still have the original factory carb as well if someone would prefer to return everything to factory specs. You could see it in the picture of the trunk below. It drives and runs great, sounds awesome, and with power steering and brakes, it's a breeze to navigate. As far as aesthetics are concerned, I believe the current color scheme is factory, however it currently has an older/lower grade repaint. The interior is in overall great condition for its age but does have a few rips/tears that you could see in the pictures, primarily centralized on the driver's seat/door panel. The back seats barely look used. In its current condition, this is definitely a car that you could drive and enjoy as-is but would take some restoration to be the amazing vehicle it is meant to be. I have a clean and clear title for this car although somewhere along the way someone marked it box "C". It's pretty common for people to just assume that these older cars with 5 digit odometers have rolled over but I'm not sure if the miles are actually accurate or not. I've also included a youtube link below so you could hear it running along with the NADA value report. Without giving away my reserve, I will say that I have this car priced on the very low end of the actual NADA value of this vehicle and not some unrealistically high number. Since this is a 42 year old vehicle, I want people to be comfortable with their purchase, so feel free to call me(Dave) with any questions at 602-625-3283. If you're local, you are more than welcome to take a look in person, and if you're not local, feel free to have any friend/family member/inspector take a look for you if you would like. Thanks for your interest and happy bidding!

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

Including all-wheel-drive models, there are ten versions of the 2015 Dodge Charger. The tenth variant - better described as the ten-tenths variant and the topmost model - is this Charger SRT Hellcat.
Superficially, you already know what it is: take the massively powerful Hellcat engine that's Frankensteined into the Dodge Challenger and stitch it into the recently facelifted Charger sedan.
Oh, but that would be superficial knowledge indeed. Russ Ruedisueli, vehicle line executive and head engineer for SRT, claims the Charger Hellcat is, "The industry's most irreverent four-door supercar." We looked up the word "irreverent" in the Oxford dictionaries, and it turns out the word doesn't mean "707 horsepower," nor "650 pound-feet of torque" nor "3.7-second 0-60 time, and seats five adults." It does mean, "Showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously."

Dodge Journey gets more SUV-like look with new Crossroad model

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Looking to play up its aging three-row crossover, Dodge will introduce a new model for its Journey franchise at next week's Chicago Auto Show. The 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad will be a new trim level positioned between the SXT and Limited, and it will be distinguished from other Journey models thanks to a handful of styling add-ons.
Plucking a page right out of the appearance playbook of the Ford Explorer Sport, the Journey Crossroad gets a meaner, more SUV-like demeanor. The Journey has often straddled the line between tall wagon and crossover, but this new trim goes a long way toward skewing its visuals toward the utility vehicle end of the spectrum. That's thanks largely to the Platinum chrome exterior trim on its roof rails and side sills, unique fascias, smoked headlights and taillights and, of course, those black 19-inch wheels. Inside, the Journey Crossroad will get a similar treatment, with darker, Liquid Graphite accents throughout the cabin, and the model will also come standard with leather seats (which Dodge says are a new design), and Chrysler's giant 8.4-inch Uconnect screen.
The 2014 Journey Crossroad goes on sale this spring with a starting price of $24,995 (*not including $995 for destination) for the four-cylinder, front-wheel-drive model, but Dodge says that the model will also be offered with more power and capability from the optional 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and all-wheel-drive. Scroll down for the full press release, and check back next week for our live coverage from Chicago.

2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love with this car. It was starting down a nearly straight entrance ramp at 15 miles per hour when I buried the throttle. In a moment, I was thrown back into my seat as the big SRT8's engine came to life with commensurate sound, fury and force, bringing me up to 75 mph in what felt like two blinks of an eye. This thing feels so much quicker than its 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque would lead you to believe. And mashing the right pedal never, ever gets old.
But beyond sheer speed, I found a whole lot to like about the Charger SRT8 during my week with the Pitch Black test car here in Detroit. And while the whole Super Bee kit isn't really my style, it's really easy to overlook those badges for a package that offers so much for so little.
