This is a project car in need of a total restoration. Car originally came thru from the factory with a big block 383 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, and air conditioning. Currently there is a non matching 1970 727 transmission with the car, but no engine. The drive shaft and trans are out of the car, but are included. There is no radiator either or cross member for the trans mount. The rear bumper, RH tail light trim, and hood blinkers are missing. Car was originally dark green with a black interior. The fender tag is on the car, but hard to read due to rust. The VIN number stamped in the radiator support matches the dash VIN and the title.

The grill assembly is complete and in good condition. The front chrome loop bumper is straight, but will need to be re-chromed. the front frame rails and inner fender aprons are solid. The torsion bar mounting brace area is solid, with only some minor rust blisters where it meets the rocker panels. The floors will need to be replaced. The rear frame rails are solid by the front spring perch, but the rear portion of the frame rails were repaired years ago, and should be replaced with the correct repair sections that they now sell. The trunk floor needs to be replaced. Most of the exterior sheet metal will need to be repaired or replaced, such as the tail light panel, rear window to trunk lid panel, quarter skins, wheelhouses, etc. The doors, fenders, hood and trunk lid could be patched and repaired, but might be better off replacing, in my opinion. The roof is in good condition. The car currently has been sealed with a temporary white epoxy primer to keep it from any further surface rust, but ultimately would need to be stripped off, down to bare metal.

The interior is mostly complete, but in need of a total refurbishing. The dash and it's components are intact, including the wiring harness, but should be gone thru. The front bench seat is not original to the car. Not sure what it came out of, The rear seat is correct. The driver's door panel, striker bolt, lock, and door handle are missing. The passenger door handle is missing and the rear window trim and sail panel trim are missing also.

The car rolls and steers fine, but will need to be trailered or flat bedded. I have a clear transferable PA title in my name for the car. A deposit of $400 is due upon 48 hours of the auctions end, thru PayPal. The remainder must be paid in cash upon pick up of car, or a wire transfer if not picking up in person. Auction is open to all countries. Please contact me with any questions, thank you.

Dodge Journey gets more SUV-like look with new Crossroad model

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Looking to play up its aging three-row crossover, Dodge will introduce a new model for its Journey franchise at next week's Chicago Auto Show. The 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad will be a new trim level positioned between the SXT and Limited, and it will be distinguished from other Journey models thanks to a handful of styling add-ons.
Plucking a page right out of the appearance playbook of the Ford Explorer Sport, the Journey Crossroad gets a meaner, more SUV-like demeanor. The Journey has often straddled the line between tall wagon and crossover, but this new trim goes a long way toward skewing its visuals toward the utility vehicle end of the spectrum. That's thanks largely to the Platinum chrome exterior trim on its roof rails and side sills, unique fascias, smoked headlights and taillights and, of course, those black 19-inch wheels. Inside, the Journey Crossroad will get a similar treatment, with darker, Liquid Graphite accents throughout the cabin, and the model will also come standard with leather seats (which Dodge says are a new design), and Chrysler's giant 8.4-inch Uconnect screen.
The 2014 Journey Crossroad goes on sale this spring with a starting price of $24,995 (*not including $995 for destination) for the four-cylinder, front-wheel-drive model, but Dodge says that the model will also be offered with more power and capability from the optional 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and all-wheel-drive. Scroll down for the full press release, and check back next week for our live coverage from Chicago.

2014 Dodge Durango leaks ahead of NY rollout

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Even though Chrysler will reportedly discontinue the Dodge Durango after the current model's lifespan - said to be around 2016 - that isn't stopping the automaker from improving its full-size, three-row SUV. The vehicle won't debut at the New York Auto Show until tomorrow, but images are already leaking out ahead of the embargo lift, and they show that the 2014 model is getting even more aggressive styling to go with more technology inside and out.
Dodge limited its early press shots of the new Durango to just the R/T trim level, but this new look adds a meaner look to this model with more dramatic projector-beam headlights along with a "floating" crosshair grille and a restyled fascia. At the rear of the Durango, LED racetrack taillights show a family resemblance to the Charger and Dart, while a new rear fascia adds to the styling while also allowing for an integrated trailer hitch.
On the tech side, the instrument panel looks to have been redesigned to include a standard seven-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) gauge cluster, and it also appears as if Chrysler's well-liked UConnect system has been updated with the 8.4-inch touchscreen found in other Chrysler vehicles. The 2013 model's conventional console shifter has been replaced by a rotary knob for gear selection, suggesting that there are transmission changes afoot as well. We'll have more details when the silks slide off this big boy tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Dodge celebrates centennial with Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

In 1914, the Dodge brothers went from being a parts supplier to a full-scale automaker, and to celebrate the centennial of this milestone, Dodge will offer special editions of the 2014 Charger and Challenger early next year. Both cars will be sold in limited numbers (although no specific number was given), and these cars will stand out thanks to unique touches like 20-inch wheels, 100th anniversary edition logos and the exclusive High Octane Red Pearl Coat paint job (shown above).
The 100th Anniversary Edition package, which runs $2,200 on the 2014 Charger and $2,500 on the 2014 Challenger, comes with red or black leather seats with a cloud print (for a denim-like look) and metal badges on the seatbacks that read "Dodge Est. 1914," while similar logos are also found on the wheel center caps and front fenders. The instrument gauges are unique to each car, with the Charger getting black gauges and the Challenger getting white gauges, and to enunciate the 100-year anniversary, both cars have red numerals on the speedometer for the 100-mile-per-hour mark.
Finishing off the 100th Anniversary Edition cars, which will be offered on V6 and R/T models, Dodge adds a flat-bottom steering wheel and embroidered floor mats as a part of the package. Scroll down for the full press release for these commemorative models.
