Up for auction is a 1966 hardtop two door sports coupe charger. The car's factory exterior color is EE1; Dark Blue with a white roof stripe and the interior is also dark blue. This Charger originally came with a 361ci / 265hp Big Block and a Torqueflite Automatic Transmission. The engine currently in the vehicle is a 383ci big block, stamped A383 on the pad and is mated to an 833 4spd transmission with an 8 3/4 rear differential. This is a nice easy restoration project with all the hard to find parts intact, i.e. headlight assembly, tail light assembly, gauge package, etc. All the trim is present and in very good condition for its age. This car is in excellent shape with VERY minimal rust on the exterior body. The worst rust spot is the lower quarter on the driver side, which is shown in the picture. The undercarriage; floors, framerails and trunk are in outstanding shape also with no visible rust or repairs. The interior is complete, but also needs to be restored. The Hurst Console Shifter I don't believe is the correct original style. The fender tag is present and legible if you would like to decode the car. I have included a photo of it here so you can do so. I welcome inspections before bidding if you would like to come and see it.

Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014

Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.

Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]

Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op.
