1973 Dodge Challenger Rally 340 with non original 440 engine.

I purchased this vehicle recently and need to sale due to finances.  The car is an Alabama car and because it is an Alabama car there is NO TITLE on pre 1975 Alabama vehicles.  There may be a  way to obtain a Title, but I do not know how.

This car was previous owner's brother's car.  Body work and paint work were done 15+ years ago. Paint is starting to bubble in some areas, especially in rear quarters, so it needs some attention.  The Engine is a 440 not original, but previous owner said engine came out of Charger, engine is VERY powerful, dome pistons, built to perform.  Vehicle has a rebuilt Holley 4150 Double Pumper, master cylinder, and brakes have been bled.  Front suspension needs work before it is road ready, found out that when I drove it.  If the vehicle does not sale, then I will continue working on it.  Rusty areas are the front of the hood, looks like someone may have had brake fluid hands, so the front of the hood is rusted, may need a new hood.  Roof looks like it may have been creased then "popped out" due to something heavy being placed on it, can't really get a good picture of the roof.  Pictures show rust around Quarters.  No rust in floors, or trunk.  Firewall under master cylinder has some minor rust through the firewall due to leaking brake fluid for years.  The vehicle seems not to have been on road for 5-10 years.  Vehicle runs and I can E-mail you video of engine running.  I will list with high reserve $ this time, so you can look at the pics and collect info.  If you want it now then bid at the high price.  I will relist cheaper reserve if it does not sell.  If you want to come and look at the vehicle, and want to make an offer, then be prepared to pay the reserve price.  I will not accept less.  I will continue to work on the car until it sells, I don't want to sell it, so price will not be negotiable.  Don't e-mail asking where the reserve is, bid and find out.  10%  will be due at auction end via PayPal.  Remainder of balance will be due when vehicle is picked up.  I do not deliver or know how the delivery on Ebay works, so if you want to set up a delivery service I will work with you however I can.

10% due at auction end 5% non refundable.  Remainder due at time of pick up.

please ask me questions, I will reply ASAP.

message me on EBAY and I will send you my contact info.

Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car is ready to burn rubber at SEMA [w/video]

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

The Dodge Charger R/T is all set to rocket down the drag strip in NHRA Funny Car competition with a completely redesigned body debuting at this year's SEMA Show. While only the front decal, side scallops and rear logo really signal this racer as a Charger, that doesn't take away from its promise of hitting absolutely ludicrous speeds.
The engineers' biggest tweak to the body was moving the cockpit further back. This created more clearance under the hood, and the change came with added advantage of giving the driver better visibility out of the car. Composites like Kevlar also helped make the one-piece shell even lighter, while not sacrificing strength.
The new design has already undergone extensive time in the wind tunnel and real-world runs to make sure that none of the changes negatively impacted the aerodynamics. With those tests out of the way, the Charger R/T Funny Car will have the first chance to truly prove itself in NHRA competition at the 2015 Winternationals from February 5-9 at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?

Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
