YOU ARE BIDDING ON A WILD CUSTOM MOPAR READY FOR SHOW AND GO. I AM LISTING THIS CAR FOR A FRIEND SO IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK AND I WILL ANSWER PROMPTLY. THIS CUSTOM MOPAR STARTED LIFE AS ON ORIGINAL 71 CHALLENGER CONVERTIBLE BUT WAS STRIPPED OF ITS PARTS LONG AGO. IT WAS SAVED AND NOW RESSURECTED INTO WHAT YOU SEE HERE. AS YOU CAN SEE HUNDREDS OF MAN HOURS HAVE GONE INTO THIS BUILD AND MATING THE NEW STYLE CHALLENGER FRONT AND REAR FACIAS IS NO EASY TASK. THE BODY LINES ARE JUST GORGEOUS AND THE PAINT FINISH IS PRETTY SPECTACULAR. MY FRIENDS PLAN WAS TO DO A 6.1 OR 6.4 HEMI CONVERSION BUT THE PROJECT NEVER GOT THAT FAR. IT SPORTS A PRETTY STOUT 318 FOR NOW AND IT RUN AND SOUNDS VERY WELL AS YOU WILL HEAR IN THE VIDEO. THE INTERIOR IS A FULL CUSTOM INTERIOR WITH FUNCTIONAL DIGITAL GUAGES AND A CUSTOM SOUND SYSTEM. LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICS AND YOU WILL SEE VERY COOL MOPAR TOUCHES HERE AND THERE. LIKE THE DOOR PANELS WITH THE OMEGA M AND THE PENTASTAR IN THE HOOD STRIKER. ALSO NOTE THE FLUSH FIRE WALL AND HOW CLEAN THE ENGINE BAY LOOKS. I BELEIVE THE WHEELS ARE FOOSE OR BOYDS CUSTOMS BUT I AM NOT SURE. THE TIRES ARE NEW AND THIS BAD BOY SPORTS 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES. THE BACK OR HEADER COVER IS A MODIFIED PIECE FROM A MUSTANG UNIT THAT WAS MASSAGED TO FIT THE CHALLENGER BACK SEAT AREA. THE SHIFTER IS A NEW PISTOL GRIP TYPE HANDLE. THIS IS AN AMAZING MACHINE BUT IT STILL NEEDS A LITTLE INTERIOR DETAILING AND SOME MINOR TRIM ITEMS IN MY OPINION. OTHERWISE ITS A SHOW STOPPER THAT YOU CAN SHOW OR CRUISE ON A SUNNY DAY. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS OK 0 ZERO OR 10 OR LESS FEEDBACK MUST CONTACT ME PRIOR TO PLACING A BID. PAYPAL DEPOSIT IN 48 HOURS FROM AUCTIONS END AND BALANCE DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS.

Ram to go on a Rampage with new small pickup?
Wed, 16 Jul 2014When people look back at today's automotive industry, what do you think they'll remember us for? The emergence of hybrids? Ever more expensive and exotic supercars? The dawn of the self-driving car? All likely scenarios, but so is the blurring of lines between one bodystyle and another, giving rise to hardtop convertible coupes and crossovers of every shape and size. But one bodystyle the North American auto industry has stayed largely away from in the past couple of decades is a car nose and chassis with a pickup bed.
It's a bodystyle immortalized by the Chevrolet El Camino, but with few exceptions, we haven't seen too many of these automotive platypuses in recent years on our turf. Subaru tried with the Baja and the low-volume Honda Ridgeline soldiers along largely unchanged, but the genre's biggest adherents are still Down Under, where ute versions of the Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon live. With a few other examples scattered to the four corners of the earth, that's really about it. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it looks like Fiat Chrysler Automobiles could be working to bring it back.
Spied undergoing testing in Michigan, what we appear to be looking at is a heavily disguised Fiat Strada being prepared - like the Fiat Ducato-based Ram ProMaster and the smaller Doblo-based ProMaster City - for Stateside duty as a Ram product. The Strada, for those unfamiliar, is a product of Fiat Automóveis in Brazil and is based on the Palio economy car. The nameplate has been around South America since 1996 and was originally designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (long before Volkswagen monopolized his talents), and takes a more rugged approach in the form of the Strada Adventure.
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat in the works
Fri, 25 Jul 2014In Autoblog's recent First Drive of the 2015 Challenger SRT with the 707-horsepower Hellcat V8 we found its engine to be as brutally powerful as the numbers would suggest, even if it wasn't the best handler. However, the muscle-car-styling just isn't right for some buyers that need four doors and proper rear seats to haul around the family. It appears that Dodge has their backs, though, because the Hellcat is very likely on its way into the Charger in the near future. Imagine the looks on your passengers' faces when you stomp down on the throttle.
According to Road and Track, when Dodge submitted the Hellcat for engine power certification to the Society of Automotive Engineers, the company included the Charger on the paperwork. That showed that the automaker wanted the engine checked out for the sedan, too. R&T reckons the 707-hp Charger would hit the road about a year from now, clearing the Challenger for a year of exclusivity with the powerplant.
When the Charger SRT Hellcat does hit the road, it may carry a very special accolade. Assuming nothing beats it in the meantime, it might be the world's highest horsepower production sedan. Think on that for a second. Even a Mercedes S65 AMG only has 621 horsepower, though a good bit more torque at 738 pound-feet to the Dodge's 650 lb-ft. So while the beastly engine is getting put into other models, where else would you like to see it? The Ram? Grand Cherokee? Let us know in Comments.
Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'
Fri, 12 Jul 2013This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.
