1973 Datsun 240Z This is my 1973 datsun 240Z. This really is a sweet little Japanese classic car thats looks cool from every angle. It has the original numbers matching L24 motor, and 4speed from the factory. I drove it all summer last year. It runs great and always starts right up. I does need new fuel lines, as i believe, from setting around all winter they may be clogged. The Interior was restored a few years ago. I does need a good vacuuming, which i will do before I sell her. The body is in good condition except for a couple paint chips(on the passenger side fender) and a rust spot (on the passenger side door.(Which you can see in the picture). Tires in pretty good shape, I will be replacing the left front flat tire. I dont think i have overlooked anything. If you want a Z car, thats in great shape(and dont want to spend a fortune) then this might be the Z for you. Overall this is a badass little car. The car is located in Columbus OH, and can be seen if you call and arrange a time with me. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit due within 24hrs. of auction end. (paypal preferred if possible) The remaining balance to be paid within 7 business days. And car picked up within 21days of auction end, unless discussed with me otherwise. I can store car for a short time if you need. Car is listed locally, so i reserve the right to end auction early should the car sell. Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
Datsun to unveil second model later this month
Sun, 08 Sep 2013Datsun, Nissan's new sub-brand for emerging markets, has announced plans to unveil its second model. Its first, the Go, was unveiled almost two months ago, and promised affordable, connected motoring for five in a handsome hatchback body. Datsun is following that up with a pair of new models for Indonesia.
The first of these two new vehicles will be shown on September 17 in Jakarta, eschewing the typical auto show debut. It's targeted at so-called "risers," the nickname for a group of highly aspirational customers in the Indonesian market. Datsun developed it locally with help from Nissan, and it'll cost under 100 million Indonesian rupiah (about $8,900 at today's rates).

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
