1972 240Z Production date of 10/71 Originally a California Car No signs of any accidents This is the cleanest unmolested Z that I have ever seen. It is very rare to find a Z as complete as this one with Factory parts. Almost every other 240Z that I have come across has the seats recovered, after market carpet kits, and rust repairs There is no rust on the car The car has been repainted once in its original Orange. Paint is over 12 years old and is shiny but not perfect. A few chips, light scratches Air conditioning The interior is in great shape with the original seats (in perfect shape and not recovered) and original carpet. The door panels have been replaced with NOS ($1000.) Too many NOS parts to list. Some examples being: Full exhaust Starter Fuel pump Door panels Bumper mounts All front end bushings Tail lights Brake master cylinder coil Nissan reman distributor The frame is in mint shape with no repairs or undercoating covering up rust. Windshield is chip and scratch free Perfect headliner The dash has no cracks but has been repaired in a couple of places. Battery tray is clean Rebuilt
motor Rebuilt polished SU Carbs Rebuilt 4 speed tranny with new clutch. Shifts like a dream. Brand new 15" Rota rims in Hyberblack with Yokohama tires. Tires fit perfect with no rubbing. The car also comes with the Stock wheels and Hub caps with Radial T/A's Brand new Eibach springs and KYB struts on all 4 corners. The car also comes with the original springs which I can have put back in if you prefer. Hidden 2 way paging alarm with immobilizer The car runs and drives great. All of the U-joints are tight with Zero clunks I have all of the records for the car since 1989. Previous owner spent $$$ replacing anything he could with Nissan New Old Stock parts. Original radio and working power antenna The car is stock except for the Wheels, springs, camber adjust and bump steer spacers. ( The clock has been replaced with an identical looking battery powered unit. When the previous owner went to rebuild the motor the mechanic told him that one of the cylinders would have to be bored. He was not comfortable with this. Instead he had a separate block rebuilt and stored the original numbers matching block. This block will be included in the sale. The air con needs to be recharged. The previous owner said that it will hold a charge for 2 years. It is 40 years old and has hose clamps instead of threaded fittings. The car has a custom tonnue cover in the back hatch area that can easily be removed (snaps) The car is located in Vancouver Canada, which is a 3 hour drive from Seattle. I will try to ad a video of the car running and driving in the next couple of days. All of the pictures in the ad are current I have added pictures of the frame, very few of the sellers add these.This in my opinion is the most critical part of the car. If they have been repaired or replaced the rest of the car will have rust as well. Do not be fooled by New shiny repaints There is much more to this car than in the ad. First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.

Datsun reveals new On-Do budget sedan in Russia [w/video]
Tue, 08 Apr 2014When Nissan revived the Datsun brand name, it essentially hit the "undo" button on the rebranding it undertook decades ago. But this time, the Datsun name is being used solely as a budget brand for developing markets. The reborn marque launched in India this past July with its Go hatchback, returned in September with the Go+ minivan and revealed the Redi-Go concept just last month. And now it's back again with the new On-Do sedan.
Launched in Moscow by CEO Carlos Ghosn, the On-Do was designed and engineered in Japan specifically for the Russian market - Nissan's fifth largest worldwide - where it will be built at the AvtoVaz plant in Togliatti. Decidedly budget-oriented, the Datsun On-Do is a four-door, five-seat econo-box measuring 172 inches long, 67 inches wide and 60 inches tall with an 18.7 cubic-foot trunk which Datsun describes as class-leading. Punctuating an otherwise bland shape is a large front grille and lighting front and rear that looks (and very well might be) bigger than the wheels.
Not that the Datsun On-Do needs a big contact patch to transfer power to the road: motivation is provided by a 1.6-liter engine with a grand total of - wait for it... wait a little longer - 87 horsepower. Which might strike you as a reasonable amount of muscle, considering the 400,000 rubles Datsun is getting for the On-Do (but consider that translates to about $11,300). That's a couple grand more than what Nissan gets for the Micra in that other giant northern country, or about the same amount it gets for the Versa in the US (which sells in Russia for 499k in rubles) - both of which are powered by what is in all likelihood the same 1.6-liter four but producing 109 hp. Of course Russia has different tax rates than the United States or Canada, but with such little power, the Datsun would fall into Russia's lowest tax bracket.
