Here is a great work van or first car for anyone needing a strong point a to point b vehicle. This is a 1999 Chrysler Town & Country in used condition. This van has 216,000+ miles on it and has sat all winter. The battery needs replacing, interior is stained on the floor and a rip in the bench seat, there. Are 2 captains and bench seats all removable, the brakes are squishy from sitting through winter but the front was just done rotors and pads this last summer, the rear shocks are a ball of rust, the water pump could use replacing as it chews the belt up slowly, I have a new belt, the alternator was just replaced last summer, replaced 2 brake lines an sone pressure Pontil, this had a transmission rebuild 2 years ago, the strut mount towers have been replaced on the driver side, there are two newer tires on the rear, only the driver window works and the back hatch is missing in inner trim so as to open it as the outer door handle doesn't work, all other doors work fine just the back hatch with the issues, power driver seat, a/c needs a 70 part to work, heat is great. This has been in the family for years and would keep it for my daily driver but am moving to Florida and don't have the funds for 2 vehicles. This is a great beater vehicle everything around the engine ad transmission is what is going wrong. Even with the mileage I would trust it to Florida if I could take it. I am no mechanic so cannot tell if there is anything else wrong with this other than the obvious, sold as is, put a battery in and she will fire right up and drive. Local pick up cash on pick up with a small deposit to PayPal to insure pick up of vehicle

Court ruling to delay Fiat's Chrysler buyout?
Thu, 01 Aug 2013We've already reported on the attempts of Fiat to purchase the remaining 41.5-percent stake in Chrysler, currently owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA healthcare trust. And while the issues still aren't resolved, Fiat has received both a bit of good news and a bit of bad news from a Delaware judge.
The good news is that the court ruled in favor on two key arguments of Fiat's, relating to what is a fair price for the Chrysler shares. The rulings essentially slash half a billion dollars off the price of the 54,000 shares owned by VEBA, according to a report from Reuters.
The bad news is that this makes the UAW an even more difficult opponent in negotiations. Its VEBA fund is meant to cover ever escalating retiree healthcare costs, so naturally, the UAW wants to get as much money as possible. Losing a big chunk of cash isn't likely to make the union more cooperative.
Marchionne offers belated apology for 'wop engine' comment
Wed, 22 May 2013Automotive News reports Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has issued a written apology for his comments regarding his decision to stick with an Italian engine for the upcoming Alfa Romeo 4C. As you may recall, back in January, Marchionne was quoted as saying, "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it has to be a wop engine." The CEO penned an apology to the Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition for using the racial epithet, saying that he made the comment in jest. Marchionne also said he realizes his remarks were unacceptable.
ONE VOICE, an organization aimed at fighting discrimination and stereotyping of Italian Americans, thanked Marchionne, Chrysler and Fiat for the apology. Marchionne is an Italian-born Canadian citizen, and he's gotten in trouble for other comments in the past. In 2011, he called high interest rates Chrysler was paying to the Canadian government "shyster rates." He apologized a day later.
Chrysler earns $1.7B in 2012, revises product plans for US
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Hot on the heels of Ford's earnings announcement for the year that was, Chrysler today reported a 2012 net income of $1.7 billion, up substantially from the comparatively minuscule $183 million profit earned in 2011 when it repaid its US government loans.
Chrysler's good year ended with an excellent fourth quarter that saw net income rise 68 percent from $225 million in 2011 to $378 million. Where are all those extra earnings coming from? Market share, which Chrysler saw increase to 11.4% last year on sales of 1.65 million vehicles. In fact, the Auburn Hills, MI-based automaker out-paced the industry's market growth of 13 percent last year with sales up 21 percent for the year.
The company also revealed an updated product plan for its Chrysler Group and Fiat brands that looks all the way out to 2016. It's an updated version of the plan introduced in 2009 shortly after Fiat took control of the American automaker, and includes such new additions as an Alfa Romeo model, likely the 4C, to be introduced in the US this year, as well five more Alfa models by 2016. Likewise, Fiat will be growing by an additional seven models in the coming few years.
