Pt Cruiser Turbo 2004 on 2040-cars
Staten Island, New York, United States
We purchased the vehicle brand new. It was always used as second car, that explains the low mileage for its age. After bringing it to 2 mechanics they both agree the turbo is bad, so it needs to be replaced. the car runs and drives even without the turbo. The air and gas mixture is off due to the turbo. This is what the Mechanics have told me. I can't afford to to change out the turbo, being it is our second car I have to sell it as is...
We replaces front struts and ball joints the car runs like a top, very tight. We had parts of the car resprayed to take out some dings and scratches about 2 years ago. Living in N.Y.C. that really doesn't last long. the chrome accent on the passenger door was stolen while in a mall parking lot. the interior of the car is leather. the drivers side seat has a slight tear on outer panel the rest of the interior is in good condition, not tears or rips. We have the original floor mats in the car but they need to be shampooed. There are brand new set of Rims and Tires on the car purchased last year. Everything works, AC blows Cold, Heater, Rear Defogger rear windshield wiper and both remotes. The car is selling as is, with no warranty or guaranty, because the car needs repair, the reserve is very low given mileage and condition. Please ask any question. Thank You for looking at my car. |

Chrysler recalling 382k Ram HD diesel pickups, 184k SUVs
Wed, 29 Oct 2014Between GM's ignition switches and Takata's airbags, it's been a big year for recalls, but they keep rolling in. The latest comes from Chrysler, which has announced a pair of recalls for certain heavy-duty pickups and SUVs.
The first issue revolves around the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine available in the 2010-2014 Ram HD trucks, including 2500 and 3500 series pickups as well as 4500 and 5500 series chassis cabs. In the affected units, "a terminal connector near the fuel heater may be subject to friction-induced corrosion," according to the first of the two announcements from Chrysler below.
The problem could result in overheating and fuel leakage. Chrysler launched its investigation following cases of overheating, none of which actually started a fire, much less an injury or accident. As a precautionary measure, however, Chrysler is instructing service technicians to replace the terminals on an estimated 381,876 Ram units around the world - the vast majority of those (314,704) registered in the US, another 59,432 in Canada, 1,803 in Mexico and 5,937 abroad.
New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
Detroit's new emergency city manager worked on Chrysler bankruptcy [w/video]
Fri, 15 Mar 2013
Kevyn Orr, the new emergency city manager of Detroit, has a history with one of Michigan's most famous residents: Chrysler. Governor Rick Snyder (at right) appointed Orr to the position yesterday with the belief that Detroit needs outside assistance to right the city's mounting financial woes. Orr (at left), a partner with the Jones Day law firm, will begin work on March 25 and receive $275,000 a year for his work. While state officials believe the new city manager will be able to complete his duties in 18 months, the contract is technically open-ended.
The 54-year-old attorney helped steer Chrysler through its 2009 bankruptcy, earning $700 per hour for his efforts. He was also instrumental in convincing the courts to allow Chrysler to shutter 789 dealerships in a single month. Orr says he's aware that his efforts won't have made him any friends in Southern Michigan.
