1977 Chrysler Newport with 56,XXX Original Miles.
This was a ONE-OWNER, purchased New in Athens, Alabama in 1977 for $7,500!
ALMOST Showroom NEW! As a matter of fact, it still had the plastic on the seats, up until a month ago!

NEW TOYO TIRES with less than 3,000 miles, and I just had my Mechanic replace the Valve Cover Gaskets.

Has the Original 400cc Engine with Lean Burn System.

Runs and Drives GREAT,... Shifts Excellent, and rides like a dream.

It does have a small dent above the rear driver-side wheel well, as shown. I haven't gotten it down to the paintless dent-removal place yet, to see if they can easily pop it out, but I am sure it could be done.

Has Original Factory A/C (R-12 Freon,) but my mechanic said it has a leak when he tried to pull a vacuum on it, so I just had him leave it alone, and didn't go any further.

I have the Original window sticker from Gordon Chrysler in Athens, Alabama.

This car has lived it's entire life in NW Alabama, and has ZERO rust, and was always garage-kept, so the paint looks almost like New!

I also have the Original Owner's Manual where the woman made notations inside the back for all the Maintenance that she did over the years. (Example: Oil/Filter in 02/85 with 37,788 miles, etc, etc....)

Alabama does not Title anything over 35 years old, but the Registration is in MY NAME, and I will gladly go with you to the D.M.V....  I DO have the Original Title, though, where it was sold to me (signed by myself and the Seller.)  When I presented it to the DMV, they told me that I could keep it, as they didn't issue Titles for anything over 35 years old, so I will include this Title to the winning bidder, as well.

Located in Huntsville, Alabama.  You are responsible for PICKUP ONLY.  If you want to pre-arrange a shipping service to come get it, that is fine, as well.  I will gladly meet them and let them load it onto their truck/trailer, assuming that payment has already been made in ADVANCE.
Payment is by:  CASH ONLY upon Pickup.

Email me your phone number and I will gladly give you a call if you have any questions that I can answer!

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.

Marchionne says Fiat Chrysler can make 6 million cars per year

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

The combined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will see its production capacity increase from a projected 4.6 million in 2014 to 6 million units once it completes its integration, according to statements made by FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne.
"With the initiatives we will announce in May, six million is accessible," Marchionne said during a Fiat shareholders' meeting in Turin, according to The Detroit News. Marchionne is aiming to complete the merger between the Turin, Italy-based Fiat and the Auburn Hills, MI-based Chrysler by the end of this year.
Increasing production by 1.4 million units is no small order, particularly when combined Fiat and Chrysler sales have increased only modestly in the past few years - only 4.4 million units were sold in 2013, and while 4.6 million is projected for 2014, 4.5 million is also a distinct possibility. Six million units per year has been Marchionne's self-imposed goal for the combined automaker, according to The News, claiming that FCA would need to crest that point to achieve profitability.

Marchionne completed Fiat-Chrysler deal from a Florida beach

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

Sergio Marchionne is the CEO of Fiat, which as you may have heard, has finally worked up a deal to finish acquiring the Chrysler Group after months of bargaining with the United Auto Workers and its VEBA healthcare trust, which owned just over 40 percent of the American brand. Where was Marchionne when the deal was finally hammered out? Well, not tucked away in a frigid Detroit board room until the wee hours of the morning.
Nope, one of the largest deals in automotive history was reportedly hammered out on the beach - at the home of a banker, in the Florida resort town of Vero Beach. Marchionne traveled to the home of Alain Lebec, a senior managing director at Brock Capital LLC, one of the advisory companies for the VEBA fund, where both sides met to make final arrangements in the $4.35-billion exchange. The location of the final deal, though, is nearly as remarkable as the pace with which it came about.
According to anonymous sources pinned down by Automotive News Europe, before the meeting, the two sides were meeting in Detroit as recently as December 19, which is where Fiat made one of its final revised offers. Naturally, the VEBA made a counter offer, which led Marchionne to initiate the Vero Beach meeting.
