i have 3 cars, 2 of them are 4 cylinder, so i have to get rid of the one using the most gas
i cant afford to drive it and i dont have the money to put in the necessary repairs it needs to look brand new
this car BOOKS ON NADA FOR 5,450 in good condition, and in bad condition it books for 1,875 THIS ONE FALLS INBETWEEN GOOD AND POOR CONDITION!
PA INSPECTED UNTIL MAY OF 2014!
i am not expecting an arm and a leg for it but i wont get rid of it for 500$ i could get that at a junk yard.
if i could afford it, i wouldn't be getting rid of it

The good:
good condition for the year always getting compliments about it
Power windows
Power locks
Heated mirrors
infinity sound system still sounds alright
Clean interior and spacious trunk
FLIP COVER HEADLIGHTS STILL WORK GREAT
split bench seat with cup holders built into the arm rest
VERY COMFORTABLE SOFA LIKE SEATS arm rest front and back
has ash trays front and back because its a 90's car

The bad
slight dings dents and chips on the paint nothing major
Headliner is going to need replaced
tires have good tread but the winter tires have bad radial bands so anything above 60 they start to pulsate (i had the front end suspension and components checked they checked out good but the tires didnt)
will need new front rotors sometime in the future there is some pulsating in the brakes
has a couple small rusty chips in the paint, no holes.
fender is crinkled in on the drivers side a little bit by the door
back bumper is going to need to be replaced because of rust hole unless you dont care about that and put some tape on it for inspection
has the COMMON 3.3 lifter tap never effected ANYTHING (my mechanics said it was not a serious issue)
A/C does not work nor have i tried to fix it!

TOTAL COST OF COSMETIC REPAIRS ARE 200 from a junk yard not some rip off like professionals autobody

Chrysler investigating complaints of vehicles with faulty power modules

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Chrysler owners are hopping mad after experiencing a series of electrical gremlins in some of the company's vehicles. Issues range from mere annoyances - windows rolling down and radios turning off of their own accord - to serious safety issues, with headlights that randomly shut off at night and cars that stall and refuse to start.
The issues are being blamed on the total integrated power module, which can cost up to $1,000 for customers to replace. This, of course, has led to a hefty batch of complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with 240 owners expressing their displeasure so far. Another site, CarComplaints.com, has registered over 300 complaints relating to the 2010 to 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, alone, according to The New York Times.
Chrysler has acknowledged that it's investigating the complaints and is analyzing the faulty TIPMs, but that isn't quite enough for customers of the affected vehicles. The newspaper has snagged a few of the more harrowing tales with the electrically challenged Chrysler products, culled from the NHTSA complaints.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

2015 Chrysler 200 gets 36 mpg with Tigershark four-cylinder

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Chrysler has come out with the official fuel economy information on the new 200 following the info that was leaked from the EPA earlier this week. It turns out that our initial report of 18 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for the all-wheel-drive V6 was correct.
What we didn't know at the time, though, was what sort of economy the 200's other powertrain options managed. Outfitted with the 2.4-liter four-pot, Chrysler is promising 23 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, with a combined rating of 28 mpg. Those figures are fairly impressive; besting figures of the 2.5-liter Ford Fusion and tying the 1.5-liter, EcoBoost, non-start-stop model. It's also beats the four-cylinder Toyota Camry's 35-mpg highway figure while tying its combined efficiency.
Stepping up to the 295-horsepower Pentastar V6 pushes the economy down to 19 mpg in the city, while the highway figure is a respectable 32 mpg for the front-driver. The combined rating for the FWD V6 is 23 mpg. Those figures can't quite match the 270-horsepower 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four of the Fusion, which nets 22 city and 33 highway. In fact, the V6 200 has trouble besting even the 3.5-liter V6 of the Camry, which returns 21 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Again, though, the 200 is noticeably more powerful.
