A 1973 Chrysler Imperial Lebaron!
I cannot over state how CLEAN this classic is! This car was special ordered in 1973 for Sen. Sam Ervin of North Carolina. If you are from the south especially that name is well known. A long story short- Watergate hearings had begun and Sen. Ervin was to preside over those hearings. He called the dealership where he had ordered the car and told them he was unable to pick the car up. Later on as he was unable to make it back to NC he sent a friend to pick the car up for him and the friend titled the car in his (being the friends name). The Imperial never made it to Sen. Ervin because he passed before he was able to take possession of it. The colors were his choice, black and white. He had good taste! I know you may be saying hummmm really? Yes, really! I do not have any proof for this but word of mouth and in my town everyone knows the story is true! Now to the car. It is the last year of the BIG body style Imperial and also the last year for the 440 engine in it. The car has NO rust or paint blemish anywhere on it. All of the leather is plush, soft and in tact. No rips, tars,or stitching loose. The car has 65,763 miles on it. This is the original miles. The car has every option available in 1973 for this car. -Electric seats and windows (all work). -Factory A/C (works great) -Hide away lights (work well) -Factory radio (works) -All gauges work Tires are in great shape as is the whole car! Fiat Chrysler's London offices will be small, with financial focus
Tue, 20 May 2014Fiat Chrysler's decision to locate its new corporate headquarters in jolly old London won't herald a sprawling relocation effort. Instead, it's very likely that the FCA outfit will be a small one, primarily focused on finance.
The report comes from Automotive News Europe, which claims FCA's London office will employ about 50 people with backgrounds in finance. CEO Sergio Marchionne and Fiat Group Chairman John Elkann will both have offices at the corporate headquarters, as well.
ANE cites an anonymous source that claims the people employed at the London office will focus primarily on treasury operations. It's unlikely that FCA will take on any additional employees specifically for its UK offices. That said, FCA isn't likely to downsize either its Turin or Auburn Hills offices once London comes online.
Fiat Chrysler quietly sends Pentastar logo out to pasture
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Logos come and go, and in the case of the famed Chrysler Pentastar, it's on its way back out. The well-known five-sided emblem, which sits prominently atop the massive Chrysler Technical Center complex in Auburn Hills, MI, is officially going to be phased out now that the company has united with Fiat and formed the new Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
As a nearly 50-year-old icon, though, the fate of the Pentastar has been deeply intertwined with Chrysler's history. Hemmings has an excellent recap of that history, from its development in 1962 by a Chrysler ad agency through to its temporary discontinuation during the disastrous marriage between the American company and Daimler-Benz, and then on to its revival during the time the automaker regained its independence.

Chrysler unveils Dodge Charger SRT8 392, 300 SRT Concept to the faithful

Ewing recently spent some time in a 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee, and while he found a lot to love - particularly underhood - he didn't care for the sedan's retro-steeped visuals, preferring the standard SRT's look instead. Perhaps he'll dig this throwback look instead. Over the weekend, Chrysler unveiled this handsome 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 392 Appearance Package at the eighth annual Spring Festival of LXs, a gathering of Charger, Challenger and Chrysler 300 enthusiasts held in Irvine, California.
Unveiled by SRT CEO Ralph Gilles in front of an estimated 2,500 Spring Fest goers, the 392 features 20-inch Black Vapor Chrome alloys set off by a black-painted roof panel, hood bulge, spoiler and mirror caps. Additional exterior changes include model-specific striping and badging along with the requisite serialized dash plaque inside. The 392 will be available in five colors - Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Hemi Orange, Plum Crazy and the TorRed pain seen here.
Performance-wise, the 392 remains unchanged from standard SRT8s, but that's hardly a slight - the 6.4 liter Hemi V8 continues to churn out 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. Like other 2013 SRT8s, the 392 benefits from the institution of a new launch control system and a retuned three-mode adaptive suspension.
