Up for sale is my 05 300C 91,7XX miles Clean title in my name Clean Carfax Located in Boise, Idaho 371whp (440 est crank hp) 381 torque 392 Stroker, Callies crank, Carillo rods, Mahle Pistons 550hp half shafts 09 SRT LSD JBL shorty headers Cold air intake Predator tuner Staggered 22" Viper reps Eibach pro-kit lowering springs Tinted windows (nicely done and in good shape) Blacked out tail lights (also nicely done) Cheapo black Bentley grill Black ellipsoid headlights Cross drilled/slotted rotors 265f/295r tires (rears need to be replaced soon, fronts are a little better) Done within the last 500 miles: Paramount Performance stage II transmission, valve body, torque converter ($6K installed) Rated for 650whp. Thermostatically controlled transmission cooler Solo Performance exhaust with SRT8 catalytic converters lengthened to match the JBL headers ($1700) OEM 6-speed motor mounts Coolant tank/cap ITG air filter Z-Auto No ESP circuit installed Just dyno'd so you have a print out of where she sits right now. New OEM rear view mirrors New Yaw sensor New OEM trunk emblem (new, smaller style- not installed but included) All fluids changed New battery $10K+ invested in the last 500miles. About 30K miles on the rest of the mods. The interior is quite nice for its age, but not perfect. 8 or 9 out of 10. Drivers side seat bolster has the typical wear and you will find a few smudges and scuffs here and there. Does not look brand new, but looks much better than your typical 90K mile car. Potential items of concern: The traction control recently went inop. I replaced the Yaw sensor, but that did not fix it. Since most people owning this car would want to disable the traction control anyway, I'm going to pass this issue (or benefit) along to the new owner. The exterior paint condition on the front end and front doors is not good. The paint is good everywhere else excepting minor scuffs here and there. The bumper cover is rock chipped and has a few scrapes. The upper corner of the grill area has some cracks in the paint. I removed the side moldings and you can see some ghosting were they used to be. I was going to re-paint the front end, but figured it would invariably get scratched during transport to its new home, and the new owner might rather do a color change or vinyl wrap, so I'm leaving it as-is and discounting the price accordingly. At parking lot speeds, the suspension creaks a bit. The suspension feels solid with not clunks or rattles otherwise. May just need some strategically placed grease. Everything has been built to the hilt, so if you want to add more power, you have a solid base to work with. Perfect car for street or track fun, but needs some paint to please the show crowd. |

Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.
Chrysler recalling 49K Chargers for headlight components
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Chrysler has issued a recall for about 49,375 2011 and 2012 Dodge Chargers with halogen headlamps due to a problem with the lights. The automaker says that there could be an issue with the jumper harness and other related components.
The automaker says that 43,450 cars are affected in the US, 2,850 in Canada, 375 in Mexico and 2,700 outside of North America. The vehicles will have their headlight assemblies, including the jumper harnesses and bulbs, inspected and potentially replaced. Dodge says that its engineers investigated reports of that were similar to what was found when it recalled about 10,000 police Chargers in 2012 for overheating light components. There have been no injuries or accidents related to fault, according to Chrysler.
The automaker will be in contact with affected owners, and schedule the service. Naturally, any repairs will be free of charge. Scroll down for the company's full announcement.
Chrysler purchases remaining shares from VEBA Trust, announces funding plan
Thu, 23 Jan 2014It's official: The Detroit Three is now The Detroit Two and The Fiat Subsidiary, Chrysler. Both the Italian carmaker and The Pentastar announced the completion of cash payments and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on future payments necessary to make the Chrysler Group a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiat. As previously detailed, Chrysler made a cash payment of $1.9 billion and Fiat North America made a cash payment of $1.75 billion to the Voluntary Employment Benefit Association (VEBA) run by the United Auto Workers union.
On top of that, Chrysler Group signed an MOU that agrees to payments of $700 million to the VEBA in four installments, the first of which was made concurrently with the other cash payments. And for you trivia mavens, the full name of the UAW is the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America.
